JENNIE

"Yah!! Stop it!" I frowned at the sight of my favorite milk ice cream melting as I glared at the culprit who just stole a lick from it.

"Choclate and milk ice cream surely taste heavenly!" Lisa exclaimed as she pinch my cheeks that caused my lips to puff.

"You'll probably go straight to heaven if you do that one more time." I glared at her playfuly,my bottom lips popped out as she let go of my cheeks.

"But it's good,Jen. Wanna try?" She smiled softly before bringing her chocolate ice cream near my face. The side of the ice cream softly touched my nose that instantly made me scrunch it. The tall creature only laughed.

"Yaahhhh!! You monkey!" I watched her laugh and smile genuinely as she reached for a tissue in her bag to wipe my nose.

This Lisa surely looks brighter and happier than the one I always went to Julie's bakery with.

...

"Nini... you are... nini? That--that girl in my dreams?" I softly nodded as I took in her facial expressions, she looks so lost and bewildered. It hurts to see her like this.

"Hmm" I hummed at her question. "I am,lili. I'm your nini." My self control failed to keep my rationality as I threw myself at her the next second.

"So.. you---I'll explain everything you want to know, love. I'm so sorry for keeping things from you." Tears almost instantly fell from my eyes as she locked me in her arms. That familiar warmth slowly begun to flood my whole being,my heart overflowing with happiness.

This time,I'm willing to take the risk.

I'll take the risk and make new and happy memories with her. My lisa.

....

LISA

I smiled as I watched Jennie walk ahead of me,her hair swaying and dancing with the soft breeze of the wind.

It's been three(3) days since I learned the truth that I am Lalisa Manoban,Jennie Rubyjane Kim's missing girlfriend. The revealation caused a huge shock to my whole being as it wasn't entirely the truth I was expecting to find about myself. I also didn't see myself as someone who could possibly become Jennie's girlfriend, maybe because I was too focus on finding my true self that I failed to acknowledge the chances of me ever liking Jennie romantically.

The past three days,I spent on getting to know Jennie and giving myself a chance to be who I really am supposed to be,Lalisa Manoban. Jennie never failed to show me that we can actually be a loving couple, though I was greatful she never uses the girlfriend card on me and force me onto something I am not fully comfortable with, she was patient enough to respect me and accept the truth that despite knowing who I really am,there's still huge adjustments I needed to do and overcome. She and Lilan, whom Jennie introduced to me as my biological mother this time made this whole adjusting and reliving a whole lot easier. I also get to do what Lisa used to do and love what I used to love.

Turns out I wasn't that bad in the past huh. Anyways,Jennie once told me she wanted to bring me home. To korea. Then again, she respected the fact that I ain't ready yet. She's such a patient and loving sunshine. How lucky is Lalisa Manoban in this lifetime?

"Yah! You're spacing out again, you monkey!" The cold and sticky touch of ice cream on my right cheek pulled me out of my trance as Jennie laughed at my frozen face.

"Yah Jennie Kim!" I shouted as I begin to run after her. Jennie squealed and ran for her dear life.

"Serves you right, you ice cream theif!" She laughed and continued to run around the spacious park.

"You manduuuu!! Gotcha!" She once again squealed as I caught her in my arms and begin to tickle her sides.

"Dinner's ready!" The movie on the screen came to a halt as soon as I heard Lilan's voice fron the kitchen. I smiled gently and turned to Lisa before reaching for her hands to pull her up with me.

"You heard her." She smiled softly and nodded at me before we went to the kitchen together.

"Aunt, let me help." She chuckled and shook her head as I walk towards her and help her with the plates and everything. Lisa remained standing shyly next to the door frame. She looks so stiff with a soft smile on her face as she continued to watch us.

When our eyes met,her smiled widen while I gestured for her to go and take a sit.

"I cooked gamjatang,I remember Jennie telling me that you used to whine and cry a lot for gamjatang." Aunt Lilan turned to Lisa too with a soft and genuine smile that somehow made lisa's stiff figure relaxed.

"It's been so long I guess... I can't wait to try it again." She sighed softly and walked near the table.

"That's fine, dear. You don't have to be the Lisa you used to be. It's enough that we know you're fine and we have you back." Lilan went and placed a soft hand on Lisa's shoulder while I stood across them on the counter.

Lisa turned and stared at her Mother for a second. Her eyes turning glassy before she broke into a smile and nodded her head.

"Thanks... Mom." Just then,a sob was heard, followed by another and another. Aunt Lilan finally had let her own emotions go. I watched as she engulf Lisa in a hug with much longing and love while she cried. Lisa looks frozen for a second, her eyes searching for mine and when she found what she was looking for,she smiled.

She may not be the same Lisa who whines to me a lot for something, may not be the same Lisa who wakes me up in the middle of the night for a glass of milk, but she will always be the Lisa whom we all loved and forever will love and cherish.
