JENNIE

"Babe, we'll be late!!" I clicked my tounge as Lisa's whine echoed through the whole penthouse. I could hear her footsteps nearing me as I waited for more of her whines and pouty face as the door bursts open.

"Love,the party won't start until 8 and it's just 7:15." I chuckled as she walked towards me with a pout.

I carefully closed the lid of my lipstick and settled the things I used before she could reach my place and hug me tight.

"You're so excited,aren't you?" I held her arms that had locked around me as I stared at her through the vanity mirror. Getting ready with a pouty Lisa would always be a wholesome thing for me. It had become a habit for me to stare at her like this everytime she whines and complains that I take so long for my make up.

"Hmm,Papa Marco said he have a surprise for me,babe. Besides,I can't wait to let everyone know that you,Jennie Kim,is now my future wife." She smiled gently as she made me face her. She cupped my face and came close before giving me a peck on the lips.

"You looks gorgeous,Mrs. Manoban." I smiled and gently pulled at her tie in attempt to fix it.

"And you look hot tonight,baby." We burst into laughter as her face turned red in astonishment.

"I would like to thank all of you that has come to bless and witness this event. Now,I would like to proudly announce to all of you that My daughter,Lalisa Manoban and her girlfriend,Jennie Kim is now engaged!" Cheerful claps echoed around the hall as multiple flashes of cameras bombarded us. Lisa's hand gently came and rested on my back as we stood up and bowed to everyone.

A year ago Lisa and I talked to her Mom,Lilan and her husband,Marco. Lisa decided to keep her biological father's last name,Manoban. He might haven't been a good father to him,but for lisa,he was one of the people made her who she is now and as a person. The life she spent with him may be full of suffering and pain but had led her into this life nonetheless. Marco,despite being disappointed respected her decision as Lisa promised that she would still carry his last name forever but maybe just as her middle name.

"Confratualtions,love birds! I'm so happy for the two of you. Specially you,love. You've gotten this far." Irene came and gave the two of us an emotional hug which we reciprocated.

"Thank you so much,unnie,and please you can call her Lisa now." I playfully scoff which made all of us laugh along with Seulgi who is now Irene unnie's fiancé too.

"Oh come on,Kim. We both know I had her first." She playfully rolled her eyes at me with a smile.

"Finally,all of us are now engage huh?" Jisoo came butting in the conversation with a glass of wine in her hand and Rosé following her behind.

"Hey,I heard that,you chicken! Stop making me feel like I don't belong in this circle,can you?" And here comes the only single soul,Wendy,with Dahyun and her wife,Momo following her.

"You can't blame us Wen. It's been 9 months since you first went to a date with Jennie's secretary but you haven't made a progress yet." Dahyun stated which caused wendy to click her tounge.

"Ahh,stop roasting her,Dahyunnie. We all know Wendy is such a boring date ever since then." Lisa also joined the teasing which annoyed Wendy so much that caused all of us to laugh.

"Ahh what a long day." I groaned as I sat on our bed with the hair dryer in my hand as I waited for Lisa to get changed and join me.

"Hmm,I still can't get over Papa Marco's gift. That camera has been my dream camera since highschool,hon." She came out of the bathroom with her robe on and a towel in her hand.

"You deserve it,baby. Besides,you're about to open you first ever studio next week,so it's such a perfect gift." She sat in front of me and I began to dry her hair while gently massaging her scalp with my hand.

"Hmm,I can't wait for that. You'll be my very first subject,baby. I'll take a lot of pictures of you and hang it in my own office." I giggled at her statement and kissed her forehead.

"Then I should be well prepared for that,handsome. It would be my honor to be the first ever subject of the greatest photographer I've known." She hummed and closed her eyes as she relaxed against me.

"I love you,Nini." I turned the dryer off and slowly wrapped my arms around her,hugging her close to me.

"I love you more,Lili. Thank you for coming back to me." I placed a long kiss on her left cheek and we both remained in that position for a long while.

"Thank you for taking me home,love." A smiled made its way to my face as a wave of contentment and pure happiness filled my heart.

I may not be the perfect and the best,but I will always be better for her.

My Lalisa Manoban made my life worth living for,and for that I will forever be grateful for her.

I'm so glad I craved and went for Ice cream that day,as it didn't just imrpove my mood but also satisfied the cravings I never knew existed in me.

When I met her that day,I realized I would never be the same Jennie Kim anymore.

And that I will forever crave for Lalisa Manoban's love.

I will forever be grateful and proud of what we have become.

Life has given me a lot of pain and as if it was a compensation,life has given me
