Soxinz V

Sohyun's sitting gracefully on the chair of the cafe. She takes her time on sipping her tea as her eyes are wandering around the outside of the cafe. It's crowded with people but Sohyun never exactly looks at one person. She has been losing her focus lately.

Until one figuration that is so familiar to her coming out from one taxi in front of the cafe. That woman with fine long black hair that is wearing white long sleeve shirt with a creamy knitted vest that is tucked into her light blue jeans and is wearing white sneakers is approaching her.

Xinyu looks so fine unlike her that is just wearing a light grey hoodie and black jeans with sneakers and letting her dark brown hair fall untied. Only from her point of view, because everyone who sees her is still stunned because of her beauty.

"Annyeong", Xinyu greets her with a bright smile and sits in front of her. Sohyun only replied to her smile with another light smile but it comes straight from her heart. She just feels so grateful that they can meet again.

Surprisingly, they just greet each other normally and doesn't seem like they had a problem before. Suddenly a cup of hot hazelnut latte delivered to their table in front of Xinyu.

"Because it's cold outside, i ordered you a hot one", Sohyun smiles as she explains it to her. Then, Xinyu just smiles cutely like she's falling for Sohyun's rizzness while her hand is slowly pulling the cup closer to her.

"This scenery looks so pretty now", said Sohyun as she's still staring at Xinyu. She's still complimenting even though she already knows that Xinyu would just smile slightly and yes, she did.

"I just want to express how pretty my view is now. Nothing more than that", and Sohyun had to explain her compliment just now unlike before this, she just gave a compliment and laughed every time Xinyu reacted to it.

"How have you been", Sohyun asked her like they never met a week ago. Xinyu seems like taking time to answer.

"Urm... I.... Don't really know.... I'm fine for sure. It just feels like a normal day. Nothing special", Xinyu answered and just smiled.

"Umm... I just hope you're fine. After that day we probably have no time to think it over again since we were too busy with something else".

"Um, you're right".

And they lied to each other.

"Actually i felt so bad that day... And what my company did to you... They just have to tell you that they can't accept your offer, why bother asking you to do everything but the answer is still the same", Xinyu's trying to explain a little bit.

"But isn't it better? So i can hear the reason from you yourself", her another 'T' answer just came out naturally without hesitation.

"Um, probably...", Xinyu's facing down and just stirring her latte with her spoon. Slightly denying Sohyun's straightforward answer but it's not wrong actually.

Sohyun's not replying and just takes another sip of her tea. But then, Xinyu immediately continued.

"My dad with that company's CEO has actually been friends. They just had to stick with each other and eventually involved me and their son. It's frustrating actually".

"But you did good. It's not easy to accept this situation. But you chose the right decision in order to help your company. I totally support what you did, Xinyu ah", Sohyun's complimenting her effort without empathizing Xinyu's explanation just now.

Little did she know, that compliment is not making Xinyu's feeling any better. She's not even looking forward to a compliment. It could sound like an insult to her at this point since she knows none of them fully accepted this situation. Where they had to draw apart due to one's marriage. And Sohyun's reply just now sounds like she wanted it to happen.

She doesn't reply and just stares into her latte. The same goes for Sohyun. For Xinyu, she just doesn't want to reply with what she feels right now because she doesn't want to make it even worse for them. And for Sohyun, she's just obviously resisting to feel her real emotions right now that's why she's replying so dry.

This soulless conversation continues for a little while, until Xinyu finally takes out something from her sling bag. An envelope is visible through Sohyun's view now. Xinyu slid it on the table towards Sohyun with hesitation.

"Yaahh... Who gives wedding invitations physically these days", Sohyun's laughing while tapping Xinyu's hand that is on the table without touching the envelope yet. This time, they're conversing normally. She's laughing sincerely because she finds it ridiculous.

"Just accept it will ya? I felt so bad already to give you this and all you do is laugh at me?", Xinyu's complaining while still laughing at the middle of her sentence.

"Hmm... Geurae... Haahhhahahh", and Sohyun just can't stop laughing with her iconic tone but this time she had to slow it down.

"Yaahhh...~ Stop it~ I'm gonna get sulk if you continue", Xinyu's throwing her face away from Sohyun and Sohyun is trying to get Xinyu to look at her again but still laughing.

Honestly, this time Sohyun's reaction actually made her feel better. Rather than Sohyun just accepting the invitation without any other reaction, she would rather be laughed at even though it's embarrassing.

Actually, being with Sohyun is her healing time and place. It feels like escaping reality. It's just because they had a cold situation that day making it so tense today but their life mostly contains each other's smiles in it.
