" It seems, Your Grace, that the smallfolk have become restless." Jasper offered.

" So?" Aemond countered.

"There is not food enough in the city. Those with means have bought more than their share." Jasper offered.

"All the more reason Ser Tyland must break the blockade." Aemond agreed.

"In the meantime, the people are hungry, and their anger is rising." Larys informed him. 'The enemy without may be fought with swords." Larys added. "The enemy within is more insidious."

"I can't believe we got fired. I got fired by my own son!" Avalon demanded.

"What domestic pursuits do I have?" Alicent countered. "You have alice and Aeron but-"

"We are more than just women."

"He doesnt see it that way." Avalon whispered. "Where did i go wrong with him?"

"You didnt."

"I did! Clearly!" Avalon whined lifting up Alice and tossing her gently into the air. "Be perfect baby, dont be a butt like your brother."

"I am happy to report that His Grace the king has regained consciousness this morning, if only for a few moments."

"You said there was little hope." Jasper countered.

"He is stronger than I thought." Maester offered. "This morning his breath comes easier. He may yet live, thank the gods."

"What happy news." Aemond agreed.

"My queens, might I have a word with Queen Avalon?" larys questioned.

"Come in." Avalon agreed.

"Thank you." larys agreed as he took the seat beside her she offered up. "I was speaking with Aemond about the people... they are hungry, he doesnt seem to care. When people are hungry they turn desperate and desperate people-"

"Are dangerous." Avalon agreed. "I will try to speak to him but he doesnt listen lately."

"What do you remember?" Aemond questioned Aegon.

" Nothing." Aegon answered hoarsely. Aemond grabbed his hand digging into his burnt flesh, Aegon whimpered and rasped for breath.

"You challenged Meleys. It was foolish."

"I remember... nothing." Aegon begged as the door opened.

"My prince?" The maester questioned as Aemond kissed his brothers head.

"You're in the most capable hands, Your Grace." Aemond assured heading out. "It seems my brother has a long recovery ahead of him, Grand Maester. See that he is made to rest comfortably."

"Another thing," Larys added. "He wanted ser otto hightower back as his hand."

"Oh." Avalon looked to Alicent but her face was void of emotion as she spoke up.

"If you receive a raven from him let me know because he is avoiding mine." She admitted.

Avalon couldnt sit and stare at Aegon's body, he took labored breaths and didnt wake for hours, she couldnt just sit there. Alicent couldnt pry herself away. She wanted him to wake, so she could talk to him. Tell him she was sorry.

"Is Aegon going to be alright?" Alyssa questioned.

"Long journey, Lyssa." Aemond countered, she grabbed his hand as they walked.
