"We will meet criston heading to the harbor". Avalon decided. "Forget the crown forget this place. Its not worth it."

"No! I could be king". Aemond demanded.

"At what cost?" Avalon begged. "Aemond please. I wont lose you." Alice in Avalons arms stared back at Aemond, her little violet eyes  so innocent. "Aemond..." Avalon begged. "They got Vermithor and Silverwing and seasmoke all. Vhagar is not large enough or fast enough to take on their three dragons."

"I want to go to harrenhal and greet my uncle."

"No." Avalon countered.

"I'm not a child."

"Well I have three children that are not warriors like you and vaera, aemond." Avalon begged. "You and Vaera are grown and I love you and want you safe but you dont listen to me, you havent for a long while." Avalon whimpered.

"Mum," Aemond whispered.

"Perhaps we go north." Avalon decided. "Vaera misses cregan like crazy."

"That she does." Aemond agreed. "Perhaps it is for the best that you leave." Avalon choked out a breath. "I will handle things here. But you should take alyssa, aeron ans alice. Get safe." She wanted him to come with, wanted him to see reason. This was crazy, going up against Daemon as well?  Alice pet aemonds hair as he hugged Avalon. This was goodbye.

"Aemond..." avalon whispered

"I love you. But im not running."

"You have no idea," avalon said, not meeting his eye. "You can't know how terrifying it is to be a parent. You try so hard to teach your kids everything they need to know, and when they don't listen, you imagine every possible worst case scenario, and in this case, every one of them i can see and picture in my mind aemond leds to death or ... dismemberment." Avalon begged "Then at some too young and too early point in their life, they're gone and you can only hope they learned something from you. But they didnt... did they?"

"I love you mother. I will call upon you when this is all over."

"Dorne can go back to being loners." Davina assured. "Or we can fight against rhaenyra. Your choice."

"Do what you wish davina. Tis your region."

"We came to fight for you avalon. Not aegon. You are my queen. Never cared for kings." Davina countered. "Come on tom!" She shouted. Their daughter rode his back.  "Lets go home." Davina turned back to avalon. "Fly by if you need assistance cous."

"Thank you davina."

"I can take care of you aegon." Alyssa assured as they got into the carriage. "Im a good nurse."

"Sing me a song Lyssa." Aegon requested leaning back. Helaena smiled holding jaehaera on her lap much like aeron and alice on avalons. Mouse flew overhead with vaera and cookie.

"To starting over." Avalon whispered looking to alicent.

"To starting over," she agreed grabbing avalons hand.

Criston dismounted with grace and ran towards the carriage. Avalon smiled seeing him unharmed.  Avalon ran her fingers over cristons knuckles.

"Thank you for coming." Avalon whispered.

"I missed you." Criston answered.  That moment felt as fragile as a soap bubble. One wrong move will send them hurtling back to the space they were in when he left with no promise of the future, when she craved him but let him leave despite her better judgement. "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere safe."

☀️

Avalon Woke to kisses on her neck and alicent snuggled into her side.

"You did this with viserys." Criston realized.

"We were married the three of us. Nothing wrong in it." Avalon agreed.

"And I am not married."

"Do you want to be? I don't know that alicent could handle another marriage and we are a package deal. No matter how eager you are to please us."
