The lights of the party flickered in a kaleidoscope of colors, casting an energetic glow over the crowded room. Music thumped loudly from the speakers, and the air was filled with the sounds of laughter and excited chatter. Yuki had reluctantly agreed to come to this huge party with her friends, deciding that she needed a break from her studies.

"Come on, Yuki, let's dance!" Starlet grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the dance floor. Yuki laughed, allowing herself to get caught up in the moment.

She had to admit, she was having fun. Pluto, Starlet, and Jazz were all dancing and enjoying themselves, and for once, Yuki felt like she could let loose and relax. She moved to the rhythm of the music, her worries about school and projects melting away.

Just as she was getting into the groove, Yuki accidentally bumped into someone. She turned around to apologize but was met with a cold glare.

"Watch where you're going," the guy snapped, his tone sharp and unfriendly.

Yuki's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "I didn't mean to bump into you. Sorry."

"Yeah, well, maybe you should pay more attention," he retorted, not bothering to hide his irritation.

Taken aback by his rudeness, Yuki felt a surge of anger. "Look, I said I was sorry. There's no need to be so rude."

The guy just scoffed and turned away, leaving Yuki standing there, fuming. She watched as he disappeared into the crowd, feeling both offended and puzzled by the encounter.

Kenma's POV:

Kenma leaned against the wall, trying to stay out of the main fray of the party. He never enjoyed these kinds of social gatherings, but Kuroo had insisted he come. His eyes scanned the room, feeling a bit disconnected from the lively scene around him.

He sighed, wishing he could be at home, immersed in a game instead of being surrounded by strangers. Suddenly, he noticed a girl standing in the middle of the dance floor, looking annoyed. He realized she must have just had an unpleasant encounter with someone.

Curiosity piqued, Kenma watched her for a moment. She seemed different from the others—less caught up in the superficial excitement of the party. For a brief moment, he wondered what her story was, but then dismissed the thought. He wasn't here to make new friends.

Just as he was about to retreat further into the shadows, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw a message from Kuroo.

Kuroo: Hey, where are you? Come join us!

Kenma sighed again, feeling the familiar tug of obligation. He didn't want to disappoint Kuroo, even if he wasn't in the mood for socializing.

With a resigned shrug, Kenma pushed off the wall and made his way through the crowd, trying to avoid bumping into anyone else. The sooner he could make an appearance and then leave, the better.
