Yuki couldn't resist the allure of the VR game booth any longer. She joined the line, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. When it was her turn, she put on the headset and was instantly transported into a vibrant, immersive world. She navigated through the game, her movements fluid and precise, losing herself in the experience. For the first time that day, she felt truly at ease.
When her turn ended, Yuki reluctantly removed the headset and stepped out of the booth. She couldn't stop smiling, exhilarated by the experience. As she walked away, she was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't see someone coming from the opposite direction.
They collided, and Yuki stumbled back, nearly losing her balance. She looked up to apologize, but her words caught in her throat when she recognized the person in front of her. It was the guy from the balcony and the cafe.
"You again?" she blurted out, her mood instantly souring.
He looked equally annoyed. "You need to watch where you're going."
Yuki bristled at his tone. "Excuse me? I think you bumped into me this time."
He rolled his eyes. "Sure, blame it on me."
Yuki crossed her arms, feeling her frustration build. "Why do you always have to be such a jerk?"
He met her gaze, his expression hard. "Why do you always assume the worst about people?"
They stood there, glaring at each other, the tension between them thick. Yuki was about to retort when he asked, "What's your name, anyway? If we're going to keep running into each other, I might as well know."
She hesitated, then reluctantly answered, "Yuki."
He seemed to register her name with a nod. Before she could ask for his name in return, a familiar voice called out from across the room.
"Kenma! Over here!"
They both turned to see Kuroo waving him over. Kenma sighed, the annoyance clear on his face.
"Guess you'll have to wait for that," he said, turning away from her.
Yuki watched him go, feeling a mix of anger and curiosity. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to him than his rude exterior, but she wasn't sure she wanted to find out. She took a deep breath, trying to calm down, and headed off to find her friends, determined to enjoy the rest of the tournament despite the unexpected encounter.
