Yuki was enjoying a leisurely day at the mall with her friends, Pluto, Starlet, and Jazz. They were browsing through various stores, laughing and chatting about their latest adventures and school projects. The vibrant atmosphere of the mall was filled with the hum of conversations and the occasional burst of laughter.
As they wandered into a trendy clothing store, Yuki spotted a familiar figure by the entrance. It was Kuroo, Kenma's best friend. She felt a surge of warmth and decided to say hi. It would be rude not to, especially since he was such a close friend of Kenma's.
"Hey, Kuroo!" Yuki called out, waving as she approached him.
Kuroo turned and flashed her a grin. "Yuki! Fancy seeing you here. How's it going?"
They started talking, exchanging pleasantries and catching up. Kuroo was charismatic and easy to talk to, and their conversation flowed naturally. As they chatted, Yuki noticed Kuroo's eyes flicking behind her, but she didn't think much of it.
Suddenly, she felt a familiar presence behind her. Strong arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her back into a firm chest. She knew instantly who it was, even before his lips started trailing soft kisses along her neck.
"Kenma," she whispered, her voice a mix of surprise and embarrassment. "We're in public, and my friends are still around."
Kenma's lips paused against her skin, but he didn't let go. His breath was warm against her ear as he spoke. "I don't like seeing you with Kuroo alone."
Yuki's heart raced. She could feel the possessiveness in his touch, the intensity of his feelings even in such a public place. She gently pulled away, turning to face him. His eyes were dark with emotion, a stark contrast to his usual calm demeanor.
"Kenma, we're just talking," she said softly, placing a hand on his chest. "He's your best friend, remember?"
Kenma's jaw tightened, but he nodded. "I know. It's just...I can't help it."
Yuki glanced around and saw her friends watching curiously from a distance. She gave them a reassuring smile before turning back to Kenma.
"Let's go somewhere a bit more private," she suggested, hoping to diffuse the situation.
Kenma reluctantly agreed, his hand still possessively around her waist as they walked. They found a quieter corner of the mall, away from the prying eyes of her friends and the bustling crowd.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," Kenma said, his voice softer now. "I just...I can't stand the thought of losing you."
Yuki reached up and cupped his face, forcing him to look at her. "You're not going to lose me, Kenma. But you have to trust me. Kuroo is just a friend, and so are my other friends. You don't have to be jealous."
Kenma took a deep breath, his eyes searching hers. "I'll try. It's just...hard."
She smiled, leaning up to kiss him gently. "I know. But we'll figure it out together."
They stayed like that for a moment, the tension slowly easing. Yuki knew that Kenma's possessiveness came from a place of deep care, but they would need to find a balance. She wanted him to feel secure in their relationship, but she also needed him to trust her.
As they walked back to rejoin her friends, Yuki felt a sense of resolve. Their relationship was intense, but she was committed to making it work. With patience and understanding, they could navigate these challenges together.
