It was sad. Really sad.

Everyone crammed into the common room staring at Gemma Farley blankly.

"We need to remember that we are a community, a family. We have to respect and support each other." Even Gemma sounded bored of her speech.

It had been just over a month since we hexed Draco and people were still blowing raspberries whenever he sat down, he'd caught a couple of Slytherins doing it and run off to complain to our prefects. So now every single slytherin was stuck listening to a speech about being nice to each other and house unity.

"Can we go to dinner now?" Miles Bletchley asked, the boredom in his voice echoed what we were all feeling because of course Rat face made us do this just before the halloween feast.

"I'm starving." I muttered.

"You're always hungry." Daphne said scathingly, looking me up and down.

"Yeah, maybe you should lay off the food, pudge." Pansy added in a sickly sweet voice.

"Yeah, maybe you should try not to look like a bulldog, minger." I mimicked giving her a sarcastic smile.

Pansy's face fell, her expression more sour than normal. "You will never be one of us, your just the daughter of disgusting mudblo–"

I'd swung before she managed to finish her sentence. It wasn't anything proper, just wild swinging. I followed to the floor, climbing on top of her and punching as hard as I could.

"Say it again! Go on! Say it! You ugly cow!" I screamed.

"Pip!" Celia yelled as someone tried to pull me off of Pansy. As I felt myself being dragged back I grabbed her hair tightly making Pansy let out squeal much like a kicked pig.

"Get off of me psycho. Someone get her off of me!" Pansy yelled between crying.

"Say it again if you think you're hard! I'll paint you all over these walls!" Miles and Marcus finally managed to pull me off of Pansy.

They had to drag me to the corridor outside of the common room just so I didn't go for her again.

In things like these people usually talk about regret and how they'd wish they'd handled things differently but I stand by it. I should have kicked it hurts more.

"What in Merlin's name is wrong with you?" Gemma demanded following us out.

"Me? She's the one who call my-"

"Nothing some nobody like Pansy Parkinson says justifies that! She could have a broken nose and after everything I just said."

"Aww did I embarrass you? Did it hurt your feeling that no one gives one about your pathetic little speech? 'Ooo , let's be nice to the precious little princeling'. Is his daddy paying you too?" I glared at Marcus who still had a firm grip on one of my arms.

"Watch it." Marcus snapped

"Careful, Pippa, your attitude is going to lose the very little support you have." Gemma's voice was calm but had a threatening edge to it. Celia and Ayesha nervously stepped out into the hall.

I scoffed and nodded. I could feel my eyes burning, the fact that I cried when I was angry was one the things I hated about myself. I wasn't sad, I didn't want pity. Frankly, all I wanted in that moment was to smash Pansy's face into the stone wall over and over again until the horrible feeling in my stomach went away.

"I ain't gotta listen to this." I pulled out of the older boys' grip and stormed down the corridor.

"Where are you going? If you go up those stairs I'll tell Snape." Gemma threatened.
