DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING... except the story

Clary

I stirred awake and looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table next to my bed. The clock was a gorgeous vintage Cartier. Its frame was swirly and something you would see in the victorian era. I woke up 10 minutes before my alarm. I roll over and notice that Jace's arms were wrapped around my waist. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks as I laid eyes on his face. It was hard to process the fact that only a month or so ago, Jace had walked in through that door with a gun, and now he's wrapped himself around me. His face was soft and peaceful. You could never guess what he was capable of in this state. I slowly brush a lock of his golden hair off of his face and tuck it behind his ear. Suddenly, my alarm clock makes both of us jump. He quickly lets go of me, sitting up to rub his eyes. The blanket falls off his body, revealing his gorgeous body, which only made me blush even harder. I quickly looked away, but clearly it was too late.

"It's rude to stare Carrot " I didn't even have to look at him to know his stupid smile was plastered on his dumb face. I swing my legs to the side of my bed and get off my bed, grabbing my hair band on the nightstand and quickly swinging my hair into a bun. Why was it so hot all of a sudden.

"My dad has cameras installed all over the house, and he's probably eating breakfast downstairs..." I trailed off, looking at Jace as he sat in my bed, my light green satin sheets wrapped around his body. It finally dawned on me that this is the first time a half-naked boy had been in my bed. And of course it was none other than Jace Herondale. Finally, I realize that Jace wasn't exactly looking at my eyes, but scanning my body, trying to go over every single little detail of it. I cross my arms at the realization, trying to cover my chest in case it looks to see through.

"Yeah, I gotta go anyways," And with that he gets up off the bed and puts on the clothes he left on the floor. I give him a half smile and go into my bathroom to turn the shower back on. When I turn around to head back into the room while I wait for the water to warm, I crash into Jace who stood right behind me. "I'll see you later Morgenstern?" His smile was wide and almost a little goofy, his hair falling over his eyes as he looks down at me. I couldn't help but smile back at his contagious smile.

"Uh...Yeah.." I said softly, he winks at me, and turns around to leave. I suddenly felt like swooning at his wink, but I held it together, and once I made sure Jace had left, I started to take off my clothes to jump in the shower.

I wouldn't have to shower if I didn't have that wretched nightmare...but I just felt too gross to skip on showering. As I worked the shampoo into my scalp, I couldn't help but think about Jace. His large arms wrapped around me, his face nuzzled in my neck. It got to the point where I couldn't tell if my red face was the effect of the boiling hot water droplets that peppered my skin or because of my lingering thoughts of Jace. When I finally got out, I dried off and blowdried my hair. I decided to straighten it, which I haven't done in years. As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I noticed that the straight hair sharpened my features, making me look older and more mature than I usually do.

I step into my closet and pick out an outfit at random. I ended up choosing a denim skirt with flowers stitched at the hem. I haven't worn this skirt since seventh grade, so it was a little shorter than it was supposed to be, but it was just as long as the St.Xaviers uniform, so Im sure its fine. I then picked out a white triangle bikini-style tank top and a cherry red leather jacket that was in the very back of my closet. In the corner of my eyes I saw my Versace platform boots. It was a gift for my 14th birthday, and I usually didn't wear something so flashy, but they went perfectly with the outfit I had on and added a good couple inches. As I look at myself in the mirror, I can't help but feel a resemblance to Isabelle Lightwood. I was just as tall, and almost just as glamorous. I take a deep breath and grab the messenger bag my brother had gifted me that was hanging in my closet. I quickly switch my school supplies into the bag and head downstairs to greet my father.
