'We move in the shadows' - Charlotte Dobre
Twiddling a company branded pencil between his fingers Nick quietly took some notes in the board meeting, in an effort to curve the boring day to day life of his office employees gone are the cool blues and bland greys and peaches, this boardroom alone had a completely glass wall offering a view over the picturesque part of the cityscape. Creative decoration, amazing benefits and direct action to improve moral overall equals an above average nice place to work. Nick had built this business up from selling customised sports gear online to owning a sports empire that have feet planted firmly in other industries. He had too. He had lost his rugby scholarship when he did his shoulder in. That's not what he's interested in, by day Nick Nelson is a seemingly (straight) average guy who had worked hard to build his business up and give back to the community that helped him, by night he serves these people even more.
In a city where police can only do so much, where the low level rapists, murders and drug runners are let go if they cash out the big players. Leaving them to wander the streets again. What the average Joe Bloggs doesn't know about Nick is that, Spider-Man style he was inspecting a probable new investment when he was bitten by something. After feeling ill for days his constant shoulder pain was gone, his senses became enhanced and probably the coolest in his opinion the ability to jump and run became insane. That very moment it struck him what he could do. Nick spent months perfecting his fighting abilities and carefully crafting a suit under the cover of darkness. He became known as Blue after the blue painted arrows he left behind as a calling card.
Slamming his fist into his alarm clock Charlie reluctantly got up, he was not looking forward to today not only was he receiving his own assignment he was taking on Cameron's project while he was on holiday. Legitimate journalism is slowly falling into the abyss of online celebrity gossip; rather than they impacting stories people are more interested wether billionaire CEO Nick Nelson had a girlfriend or not. "You good?" Tao asked, the two had been friends since year 7 going through secondary school and sixth form together then to avoid going to the same university for each other they only told each other courses they were applying for, Tao was doing a politics degree and Charlie an English Literature with Creative Writing degree. Both ironically found out they had accidentally applied for the same university. They moved out together with Tara who also ended up at the same university doing a Theatre Design degree and Darcy who was working steadily in a indoor children's playground. She later went on to purchase the indoor playground and loved being around all the children. The flat seems empty now with the girls gone, moved out on there own. "Yeah you?" Charlie retorted, "Alright but Jesus christ who would have thought politics could be so confusing," "Tao didn't you do politics A-level and degree?" "Yep!" He admitted.
Reading through Cameron's article on Nick Nelson's community work compared to his on whether Blue is a vigilante or a criminal. The notes kept getting interchanged due to their 'similar writing styles' aka Charlie writing both their articles. Checking Cameron's calendar the idiot had somehow forgotten to tell Charlie he had arranged to meet with Nick Nelson to ask him questions attached to the calendar alert. He had an hour to get across the city and eat lunch and take down these questions, catching a quick glance at himself in the mirror he realised he looked like he had been dragged through a bush backwards like where was his tie? He had toothpaste on his shirt he previously hadn't noticed, running some water over his hands he flattened his hair to his head and straightened his work ID, company policy had to be worn on a lanyard before bolting out of the door.
