~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the storm had cleared, Bonnie was still sitting around in the captains quarters, waiting for Jack to return to unlock the door. To pass the time, she changed back into her underdress, as the trousers and shirt were soaking, and she spent the rest of the time pacing and when she got tired of that, she would watch through the windows are the crew struggled to find their way out of the storm.
She felt awful she couldn't help them. A short while after the storm was over, she was lying on Jacks bed, playing with a lock of her curls, when she heard someone unlocking the door, causing her snapped to the door, revealing Jack walking in, soaked from head to toe.
Jack looked over at Bonnie, causing her to timidly look away. There was an awkward atmosphere clouding over them. Neither of them exchanged a word, as Bonnie fumbled her hands in her lap, looking at the wall from the corner of her eye and back down to her hands. Jack was taking off his hat and his coat, dumping them on a chair in front of the desk, as he took a bottle of rum, and poured himself a glass.
"Ye still in a huff with me?" Jack asked her, as he stood crossed-legged, against the wooden table, with his glass still tightly clutched to his dirty hand. Bonnie didn't respond, or even move. She just continued looking down. This caused Jack to roll his eyes at her, and down the rest of his rum, before he began walking towards her.
"I did what I had to do to protect ya, love. You should be thanking me." Jack smirked smugly, as Bonnie scoffed and finally looked up at him.
"Thanking you? I am none of your concern, Jack. I can take care of myself. I don't need you "protecting me."" Bonnie stood up, using her fingers as air quotes, before crossing her arms in annoyance. Now it was Jacks turn to scoff, and take a step closer towards her.
"Aye! Ye should be thankin' me! You became my concern the minute you got me out of that jail. And I know you have the ability to protect yourself. But you haven't found it yet. You have spent your life in Port Royal, as the Governors Daughter- youngest daughter." He corrected himself, holding up both index fingers, as he continues, "ye have never fought a man and ye haven't got the first idea what awaits you when we arrive at Isla de Muerta and rescue your dear sister..." he trails off, as Bonnie raised a brow of confusion.
"When "we" arrive? You're gonna let me help?!" Bonnie grins in excitement at the idea of getting her sister back, but Jack quickly holds up his finger to her. "Under one condition." Jack states firmly, and Bonnie nods.
"Anything." She continues smiling, as Jack smirks and raises a brow, which causes her smile to drop and immediately point her finger in his face. "Appropriate." She raises her brows, and Jack just rolls his eyes.
"I don't know about this, Jack..." Bonnie said, unsure, as her and Jack were now near the wheel, both holding swords in their hands. "Nonsense, love-" Jack cut himself off, as he seen how Bonnie was holding the sword and sighed. She had her hand too low down at the handle of the sword, and it was almost falling out of her grip.
