Giyu

After the fight with the Upper Moon 1, Giyu and Yuzuki had gone to the butterfly estate for treatment.

Yuzuki got a cut on her right arm which had to be bandaged while Giyu got a cut on his back as one of the branches pierced into it when he was thrown away by Kokushibo.

Yuzuki had also decided to ask Shinobu about the mark but by the time both the slayers had reached the butterfly estate, the moon shaped mark on her face had disappeared. Thus she decided that she'll ask oyakata-sama about it later on.

Both Giyu and Yuzuki were asked to stay in the butterfly estate for a day under observation. They were put in the same room with beds next to each other.

During their stay Aoi had come to inform them that Muichiro, Mitsuri, Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya who had gone to the swordsmith village had faced upper moon 4 and upper moon 5. They had managed to them kill off... Another good news was, Nezuko had managed to conquer the sun.

However, all of them were heavily injured and had yet to regain consciousness. Both the moon Hashira and the Water hashira were also informed that the Hashira meeting will be held after the Mist pillar and the Love pillar wake up.

The other pillars, upon hearing that Giyu and Yuzuki had gone up against upper moon 1, had come to see them.

Well, basically they had come to congratulate them as they had survived the fight.

But the two hashiras however weren't very much happy about it. Both of them felt as if they had failed their duties. They should have killed it. They shouldn't have let him go. But, at the same time, both of them knew, they wouldn't have been able to kill him. Specially, not when he knew every form of Moon breathing.

They spent the day talking about books.

Giyu told her about the recent book he had been reading, the one he mentioned when Yuzuki was in a coma. Seeing him being so absorbed in telling her the story, the moon Hashira couldn't help but admire his features.

Ever since she knew him, she has always admired him. She always saw him as someone who protects the others. She knew, Giyu wouldn't think twice before protecting someone he deemed as good even if his own life was at cost. That's why she wasn't surprised when her crow had informed her that he would commit seppuku if Nezuko would eat a human.

She had always trusted his judgement. She knew, if he trusted the Kamado siblings, there must be a reason to do so.

She doesn't like it a bit when Shinobu tells the Water hashira that no one likes him. Who said no one does? Yuzuki herself does. And she never thought twice before telling that in front of everyone. She knew Shinobu didn't have any hard feelings for Giyu and she said those only to tease him. But still she couldn't help but feel bad for him.

She knew that he suffers a lot from self doubt. She also knew that he doesn't believe he's worthy enough to become the water Hashira. She knew he blames himself for the death of his friend and his elder sister.

"Doll?" Yuzuki snapped back when she heard Giyu call her.

"O-oh sorry Giyu-san. I was thinking of something." She stuttered when she realised that Giyu had caught her staring at him making the water hashira chuckle in response.

"It's okay. We should probably sleep now. It's late." The moon Hashira nodded and both of them went to sleep after wishing each other good night.

The next morning both of them woke up and after some checkup they were allowed to go back. Both of them decided to go to oyakata-sama first to report to him about the mission.

"Good morning amane-sama. We had come to report to oyakata-sama about the mission."

"Ah Yuzuki, Giyu. Please come inside. Oyakata-sama's health has deteriorated. I don't think he'll be able to come see you. You both should come inside and inform him."
