"Ohayo petal." The wind hashira spoke as he turned around and smiled at the Moon Hashira.
"Here! I brought some ohagis! Let's have them on the way!" Yuzuki said excitedly as the Wind Hashira chuckled.
They had been assigned on a mission together by oyakata-sama. It was informed to them that there is no upper moon, but there has been an upsurge of demons in the forest near a village.
The slayers had just started training and they were yet to come to Sanemi and Yuzuki. Many of them were still stuck with Muichiro and Mitsuri while those who had managed to complete their training with the Mist and Love hashira, were instead stuck with Obanai.
Sanemi and Yuzuki had reached the village by evening and soon realised that there was some kind of fair going on. It was still early so both of them decided to stroll around the fair for a bit.
They tried various food items from the different shops. Dangos, Dorayaki, Meat buns, Mochi and many more.
"Hey young lady!" Yuzuki stopped on her tracks when a woman, who was around her late fifties called out to her.
"Yes?"
"You look very pretty. I have something I would like to give you. Please wait for a while here." The woman went to the back of her shop while Yuzuki stood in front of it.
"What happened?" Sanemi asked as he stood behind her.
"Here!" Before Yuzuki could reply, the woman handed her a hairpin.

The Moon Hashira was fascinated by the hairpin. It looked so beautiful. And it contained both the moon and the star, perfectly complimenting her breathing styles.
"This hairpin has been with me for a long time. I wanted to give this to someone who it belongs to but i couldn't find anyone like that. Today when I saw you having the meat buns in the neighbouring shop, something clicked and I knew I had to give this one to you."
"Thank you very much. It's really very beautiful. How much does it cost?"
"Oh you don't need to worry about it. I'm giving it to you as a gift."
"No no aunty please! you've worked hard to make it. I can't take it like that."
"Then take it as a thank you gift for protecting us all. I can see that you're a demon slayer."
"B-but-"
"Ahh no buts! You shouldn't return back a gift."
"Uh thank you once again then..." Yuzuki said bowing her head.
"It's actually pretty. Here, let me help you put it on." Sanemi said as he offered to help her. Yuzuki turned around and handed the hairpin to Sanemi who then put it on her bun.
