"Max, Max he's awake" I open my eyes,  I'm met with Lori and Rick infront if me. "What?" I stretch my arms and look down for lucky, who isn't there. I look up and see her laying next to Carl who is awake. "Oh thank god." I get out of the chair almost falling off the side and run over to Carl's bed. I pull him into a tight hug, I feel his arms wrap around my back. "Your alive." I let go of him "obviously, I wouldn't leave you. Your my bestfriend." I smile and step back, "how do you feel?" He puts his hand on lucky's head petting her gently "In pain and tired" I nod. Lori walks over "Carl, bud you should get some rest." He looks up at his mom and nods. "Okay." I walk back to Carl and reach down picking up lucky. "Can I stay?" I look at Lori for my answer. "You have to watch Melissa and Lilian, Faith is going to be overwhelmed by both of them." I nod and look back to Carl "I'll see ya later Carl" he nods "bye max."

   I walk out of the room setting lucky down on the wooden floor. I walk over to the bedroom and open the door going inside. "Max where were you?" I walk over to Faith and take Melissa from her. "Carl." She gives me the diaper bag amd points to the towel on the bed. "All night? Was Remi snoring?" I walk to the bed and lay Melissa down on the towel. "I went outside on the porch for a few hours. Willow was out there we talked, she's nice." Faith walks to the other side of the bed to wake up Lilian. "Then you went to Carl's room instead of ours?" I nod "why?" I look up from Melissa "I couldn't sleep without being by his side I guess." She smirks and picks Lilian up. "Aw someone missed his boyfriend." She teases. "Not my boyfriend." She smirks and sets lilian down.

   "Willow told me were moving into tents outside?" I walk up to Rick who's at the cleared spot, lucky behind me. "Yes, Hershal said he wants us away from the house if we want to be on his land" I nod and hand Melissa to Rick, Rick takes her smiling at her. I reach for my gun but Rick stops me, lucky starts growling. "Its gine he wont hurt me." I tell lucky, she stops and sits down at my feet. "Hershal said no guns on his property." I look at Rick and continue grabing my gun holsterin it. "Sucks." I grab my knife also holstering that, i pick Melissa up from Rick. "Max, it's his land." I turn around and start walking away "And its our safety, Rick"

  I walk back to the house into the kitchen Maggie facing Asa. "Can I keep my gun and knife?" She turns away from Asa looking at me. "my daddy said no" I look at Maggie then to Asa "I want to be able to protect my sister and Lilian, Melissa, Faith and Carl. All of you, I want to be protect" she sighs setting down the kitchen knife and turning to Asa. "What do you think?" Asa stands from the counter and holds Maggie's face squishing it. "let him keep it he's got a point. He wants to protect his sister and friends, let him" Asa says in a thick irish accent, Maggie nods and turns to me. "hide it from my dad. He can't know" I nod and pull my shirt over the gun and knife. "Thank you" Maggie nods and continues talking to Asa.

  "Max!" I hear shouting that sounds like Remi, I pick up Melissa and start running behind the house to the fence lucky ahead of me. We get to the fence and Remi is on the ground a walker snarling at her behind the fence. I rush over and help her up, I bend down and pick her crutches up handing them to her. I pull out my gun and point it at the walker "no, if someone hears they'll tell Hershal." I sigh putting my gun away, I hand Remi the baby and pull my knife out. I walk over to the walker and go to stab it in the head when I hear shouting. "No! stop!" I turn around to Hershal running over a animal restriction in hand. "It tried to kill Remi!" I shout back, he hobbles over to us. "Kill it its to far gone to be saved." He gets a better look at the walker who's organs are falling out, I stab the walker.

   Remi and I start walking back Hershal with us, I wipe the blood on my pants and put my knife away. "How was Otis' funeral?" Hershal looks down to me and back at the house. "Meaningfull, he was a good person." I look down at my shoes "I appreciate him for saving Carl, he didn't need to die but I'm glad he saved Carl." Hershal nods at me and walks away. Remi and I walk over to Faith and Rayia who are both sitting on a bench getting their hair braided by Maggie. "Where's Lilian?" Faith looks up at me worried "I thought she was with you?" Oh fuck me. "Last I saw her was this morning." Maggie ties a band on half of the braid "I'll finish it later, we find the girl now." I take Melissa from Remi and start running to the Rv.
