36. It never gets better.

It has been a week or so sense the fight, right now almost everyone are out killing saviors, blowing shit up, and leading walkers away to the saviors outposts and base, trying to kill them and anyone related to them. Currenly at Alexandria Remi is teaching a few people from each group about medical, she's got actual doctors from the Kingdom helping her teach. Willow is doing a shooting range helping the ones who want to practice get better with other advanced men and women. Faith's helping me both of us on a run headed up north, on our way anywhere we can find materials we left three days ago, just after the fight emded.

"We are three days away from home, and theres no houses worth clearing, no places that are not surrounded in walkers what's the poi-" I cut her rant off with covering her mouth with my hand and pointing to a decent sized corner store on the side of four apartments. "And you were saying we didn't find anything." We get to the door, it's glass easy to see through and luckily there's nothing inside, that i can see atleast. "On three." My gun raises at the door Faith getting ready to open it. "One. Two. Three." She opens the door and we both go in guns up pointed at nothing, we clear the some of walkers or people to only have one under a shelf. "Perfect, this place has all the stuff we need, hopefully." Faith goes off to the other side taking a cart with her, I grab another cart and work on the front of the store.

My cart consists of toothpastes, deodorants, toothbrushes, soaps, antiseptics, gauze, first aid kits, medical wraps, hairbrushes, detanglers, hair and body washes, medicines, children's medicines, paper, pens, pencils, folders, and notebooks. Faith got food, water, batteries, and a bunch of other things. "How are we going to get this into the car? It'd be easier if they let is take a truck." My eyes go behind Faith finding a bunch of empty milk crates and boxes. "That's how, pack it full we out the boxes and crates in the cars and we head home simple as that." She pushes her cart over following me, we pack the boxes and crates full of the supplies ending up with ten boxes thirteen crates full. "Let's go pack it."

Faith closes the trunk setting the last crate inside, then she closes the back doors shut having the boxes in there. We get in the car and start it up backing off the street, we continue driving till dark, Faith and I swich out so she can rest. Rain starts to pour down on the windshield, gas tank is almost empty we need to stop soon we have till morning for gas. The morning comes and we're one third the way home, two days and and half an hour left. "Swich with me, I'll drive you sleep. Anything happens I'll wake you blah, blah, blah. Go to sleep." I pull over and we swich out spots, she doesn't move though just stares at a house. "We should go check that out, looks decent enough for more food." She pulls the keys out tossing them to me and running over to the house. I follow her to the house and inside, it's not a house though just a candy store, or was a candy store.

"Okay, I knew it wasn't a house but candy is always a good thing to have." I pick a bag of caramels up, Remi's favorite kind. "Alright, I think we can make some people happy with this shit. Grab whatever is sealed toss it in here." She points to a basket and we toss candy bags inside of it, M&M's, Gummy bears, gummies of all kinds, and a bunch more candy. "I'll drive, not tired anymore." The back door shuts and Faith pushes me away from the driver's seat getting in. I get in the passenger side opening a pack of mints and popping a few in my mouth. Faith takes a few and we get back on the road down a highway back to Alexandria, having to stop to move cars at points.

"Were thirty minutes from home, been a little less than a week by now, sense we left, think they've stopped fighting?" Faith shrugs turning down the straight a way to Alexandria. "Probably not, last I knew they were at the savior outposts and main base. That was two days a go, could be done by now but most likely not yet." It's good we found all this supplies, all of the groups like The  Kingdom, Hilltop, Alexandria, and Ocean side need the supplies our people need the supplies. "We just have to be ready to fight when we get back, though I doubt it's at Alexandria or any group probably at the Savior out posts."
