Over the next few weeks it's been great, a new church is being built in Alexandria and more things are being renovated, it's awesome. Carl and I have been spending more time together and we've been spending more time with Lilly and Paisley as our little family. I found out that my sister is pregnant, yes Remi is pregnant and her asshole boyfriend left her and went to the Sanctuary, I found him and killed him. Maggie and dad are making a plan to kill Negan, and the saviors.

The knife in my hand slices through the carrot as we make a soup for dinner, Lilly is chopping potatoes and Onions and I'm cutting carrots, beef and boiling the water. "Almost done, princess?" She slides the chopping board over nodding and smiling. "Alright, why dont you get down and help me put this in the pot?" I grab the chopping board and set it on the counter Lilly walking over and looking down at the pot. "Okay, new we put the carrots, onions, potatoes, beef and three seasoning cubes." I set the things infront of Lilly and let her put them in the pot, she brings it to the stove setting it down and I turn it on low. "Perfect, now we wait for a few hours while it cook's. It's twelve pm and should be done by five pm, that'd five hours." I nod to my daughter and she sets a timer for five hours, Remi comes in and sits down at the island with two books and a walkie. "Thank you for watching the soup Rem, I'm a little busy today and yeah." She smiles and opens her book starting to read it, Lilly and I walk outside to the barn. "Let's go on a run."

Lilly and I get down a road after stopping at a few stores and houses, we get to a back road where an engine is ringing out on the road, dad stops at us and waves us to come with him. "Come on!" Lilly heads over first catching up just behind dad, I go with them and we make it back to Alexandria. "What happened? Why are we going back?" We get through the gates and to the barn getting off the horses putting them away. "Horde, Rick is bringing them away from us and somewhere else. Didn't want yall out there if something happened." I nod and we all go back our separate ways into the town, I go to Michonne where she's taking care of Judith, Charlotte and Paisley. "Hey, what you up to?" I pick up Paisley kissing her head and holding her on my hip, Charlotte stands up walking over to me and hugging my leg. Wren comes inside the house and she unclings to my leg, and goes over to Wren, she picks her up and kisses her head walking over to me.

"Eh, drawing with Judith." Michonne smiles it's contagious so before I know it I'm also smiling along with her. "Me and Lilly made soup, it's beef and some vegetables if yall wanted to come over, there's plenty for us all." Her smile falls as she looks past me, I look back to a man in the doorway, i set down Paisley on the stool next to Judith and Wren takes my spot. "Maggie's here. One of the guys at the gate told me she just came in." Oh shit, she's gonna kill Negan. "Aunt Maggie." I glance over to Judith who's smiling wide and setting down her seashell. Michonne and the man exit the house I'm assuming to stop Maggie, I pick up Judith and set her back on the stool sitting next to her. "How about we all finish what we were doing and wait till Michonne comes back, then we can get dinner." The girls nod an go back to what they were doing, half an hour passes and Michonne barges into the house. "I need you, Wren can you watch the girls please?" She nods and picks a walkie up calling Rowen and Lilky over. "Back up."

Michonne and I run out of the house catching up with Maggie and the other woman she was with, we get on Juniper and Blaze and rushing to the gates. A man opens the gates and we exit them put onto the road, I follow Maggie and Michonne the woman right next to me. We get up with a bunch of people and to the bridge, there's walkers over it and Rick hurt at the end. "What is he doing?" Dad and I shoot the ones getting closest to Rick, my anxiety is starting, he won't make it and he's sacrificing himself for us. Everyone runs off trying to distract the hord, dad and I stay back with Carl, Rick raises his gun up pointing at something on the bridge, the dynamight sticks. "No!" I yell but it's to late, he shoots the sticks and the whole bridge and Rick blow up. Carl screams and breaks down, he falls to the ground tears and loud sobs letting go, a few tears fall down my face onto my hand. "Dad! No!" I bend down to Carl bringing him into my arms holding him back from running over to the lake. He stops struggling and clings himself onto me and sobs, dad is crying, I can hear Michonne screaming and yelling 'no' and that 'it's not fair'. Walkers fall down th bridge and into the river, I pick up Carl and bring him back to Juniper and on him.

My walkie goes off a bunch, people telling eachother what happened and yelling. I get Carl onto Juniper and get on after him riding back to Alexandria passing dad and everyone else. It takes hours it feels to get back, only in reality it's an hour, memories of Rick and I run through my head.

"Maxwell Dixon!" I ran through the house Rick changing after me, I'm holding just my towel and he's trying to beat my ass. I ran downstairs and hid inside the pantry running past Carol. "Where is he?" I locked the pantry. "He went outside." Rick's footsteps ran outside the front door slamming shut. I unlocked the door and peared my head out looking around, Carol and Maggie chuckling. "He's gone." This was a year or two ago.

"Hey, Sheriff. I was meaning to ask you something for awhile now, it's a big thing." I sat down across Rick in his houses livingroom. He noded for me to continue setting down the book he was reading. "I want to marry Carl, can I have you're blessing or whatever you call it." Rick chuckled and placed his hand on my shoulder nodding. "Max, you're a good kid. I know we've had out ups and downs and sure I hated you for dating my son, but you have my permission to marry him if you ever start shit just because you're married I'll find you and kill you." I nodded and he hugged me ruffling my hair, this was a few weeks ago I asked, after I had the ring.

"Thank you, Max. Thank you for taking care of Carl for me and being there for him when I couldn't. I appreciate you alot kid." I nodded and we continued on with our day, this was close to three years ago.

Hes gone now, and we'll never see him again. Rest in peace, Rick Grimes.
