As the calm settles
over us like the warm
blankets we snuggle
with, the night
continues.

My eyes are fixed
on the room ceiling

I shut my eyes for a little
bit, sensing sleep
wanting to take
over.

I open my eyes suddenly,
not wanting to fall
asleep.

“Someone is near…”
Tetsu whispers, turning
off the lamp light.

He gets out of bed and
goes by the door to
check it out.

He puts his ear on the
door. I sit up in bed,
being a little nervous.

I would rather not see
any enemies right
now.

Especially Ronin.

I breathe in and out
silently, trying to
contain my
emotions.
