It was a cold Sunday afternoon, I walked into the apartment that Edwin and I shared, Edwin had brought in yet another girl, I see him and this girl passed out on the couch.
I got out my phone can called my best friend, Jocelyn, she answered the phone "hello" her voice spoke like she had just woke up.
"Hey, can I come over?" I ask. "Uh, yeah why?" Jocelyn asks.""Him." I say.
"Again? Really, I thought we had been over this, Tez is over but he says you can hang with us." "Okay cool thanks." I say.
I take a moment to look at Edwin, his face looked so happy, he looked really happy, I wish I could be happy, but it's okay. I write Edwin a note and leave it on the counter and head for the door.
"Y/n?" I hear a groggy voice. "Yeah?" I say. "Where are you going?" Edwin asks. "Jocelyn's, I'm gonna hang with Tez and her." I say. "Every time I wake up you're gone, when are we gonna hang?" Edwin asks. "Uh, soon." I say quickly.
"Edwin, baby?" The girl wakes up and calls for Edwin. "Uh, looks like your girl woke up, uh see ya." I say and quickly and exit our apartment before tears begin to roll down my face.
I go to my car and drive to Jocelyn's house.
I cry whenever I see Edwin, I can't help but falling for him every time, he's so sweet, but then just becomes a total slut and takes home every girl he can find and bangs them.
I get to Jocelyn's house and knock on the door, I'm freezing, crying, and it's starting to rain. Jocelyn opens the door and hugs me, then she invites me inside.
She gets me a blanket and offers me hot chocolate, I decline it. Then Tez comes in and kisses Jocelyn.
"Hey y/n, how yo holding up?" Tez asks. "I could be better." I say.
"Can I stay here for a while?" I ask Jocelyn. "How long?" She asks. "Maybe 2 weeks." I say.
"You can say here whenever and however long you want, okay?" Jocelyn says. I shake my head.
"let's go to defy gravity." Tez suggests. "Can Zach come, he's Sarah's best friend and he'd be good company?" Jocelyn asks. "Yeah." Tez says. I get out my phone and call Zach.
Ring.
Ring.
Ring.
"Hello?" Zach answers. "Hey, we're going to defy gravity and we were wondering if you. wanted to come." I tell Zach. "Uh yea, let me get my coat and I'll be right over." Zach says. "Okay see ya." I say and hang up.
5 minutes pass and we hear a knock, Jocelyn answers the door and it's Zach.
"Hey Zach." I greet him. "Hey y/n, wait have you been crying?" Zach asks me.
"Yeah, but it doesn't matter." I say. "Yes it does, who made you cry?" Zach says sounding angry. "I can handle it myself." I say.
"Zach." Jocelyn says and motions for Zach to go over there she whispers something in his ear and he clenches his fists.
"That little bi-" I cut Zach off. "Stop, it's fine, I doubt he'd ever like me back anyways." I say. "But you're my best friend." Zach says. "And so is Edwin, so it's fine." I say. "Let's just go to defy gravity and have fun." Tez says.
We all agree and get in the car, Tez driving Jocelyn in the passenger seat Zach and I in the back.
"Smile." Jocelyn says for a selfie with all of us. Zach has to lean in so he could get in and we all smile.
I pull out my phone and try to take a selfie, but Zach wanted to get in it. I take the picture and lay my head on Zach's shoulder and Zach snakes his arm around my waist and then I see a flash and it was Jocelyn taking a picture of us.
Suddenly we get a vibration from our phones and we see Jocelyn tagged us in a picture.
I unlock my phone and see she posted a picture on Instagram captioning "awe look at the cute couple."
"I'm going to kill you." I say calmly but sharply.
I look through my Twitter and I get a text from Edwin. "Are you and Zach dating?"
"Guys, guys, guys, guys, look." I say and show them the text.
"You think he's jealous?" Jocelyn asks. "He can legit get any girl he wants, why would he be jealous." I say. I text Edwin back no, and asked what he was doing. "I'm on my way to defy gravity with Maria."
"Guys, issue." I say and show them the text. "Just don't text him back." Zach says and rubs my back.
We get to defy gravity and go inside and pay.
Then we go and jump on the trampolines.
I do a backflip then a front flip and then I do a flip into the pit.
I look over and see Edwin walk in with I'm assuming the Maria chick.
I see Zach looking at me. He walks over and puts his hand on my shoulder and says "it's gonna be okay." Then Zach flips me over and jumps on top of me. "ZACHARY REED CLAYTON!" I scream. "Y/F/N!" Zach screams back. (your full name) Zach gets off of me and I run and tackle him.
"Y/n really." Zach says breathing heavily as we're laying on each other. "Yes stupid." I say back smiling.
We both get up and Zach and I lock arms and run against the side trampolines and do a backflip.
"Hey guys." A familiar voice echos through my head.
I turn around and it's someone that I don't want to see, Edwin.
Jocelyn and Tez walk over to Zach and I and say "let's go to in and out burger, I'm getting hungry." Zach and I shake our heads in agreement and exit defy gravity without saying a word to Edwin.
"That was close." Zach says. "Tell me about it." I say.
We drive to In and out burger and eat then we all go home.
"Bye Zach text me." I say. "Bye, go home today and if anything happens come over to my house okay?" Zach says. "Okay." I say and I hug Zach.
"Well I'm gonna go home I guess, bye Jocelyn, bye Tez, text me." I say.
"Okay bye." They say.
I go home and unlock Edwin and i's apartment to see Edwin wasn't home yet, so I go to our shared bedroom and take a quick nap.
"Y/n?" Edwin says. "What." I respond icily. "Can we talk?" Edwin asks.
"There's nothing to talk about." I say. "I need to ask you something." He says.
I sit up and say "What." "Why do you and Zach always hang out, like do you like him?" He asks.
"Oh my god Edwin are you blind? I love you, but you're too busy fucking some random ass girl to even pay attention to me, I love the way you care about everyone, I love how your eyes shine, and how your hair sways, I love everything about you but you too blind to see that." I say.
"I-I-I" Edwin try's to say. "Yeah I know you don't feel the same." I say tears exiting my eyes.
Edwin brings my eyes to meet his and he wipes my tears, and leans in, then we kiss.
I feel like I'm on cloud nine, that's when I know, Edwin is really the one.
"Y/n, you're the most beautiful, smart, passionate women, I've ever met, I know I fuck a lot of girls, but it's to keep my mind off of you, I love you." Edwin says.
"I love you too." I say
