"I'm scared." Zach says as Carl, Michonne, Rick, him, and you enter a cave.
"Shut up Zachary." You scold quietly, for there could be walkers in this cave.
"Damnit." Carl says quietly. "What did you do!" You whisper yell. "I lost the bullet." Carl says, you sigh at his stupidity and hand him the bullet.
"Oh." Carl says and smiles. "Yeah okay, let's get a move on." You say.
You all walk until you meet a cross road, which means that there is two pathways.
"Alright, y/n, Carl, you both are our strongest fighters that are under 20. You both take the right path, Zach, Michonne and I will take left." Rick spits out directions.
"Why can't Zach come with us? He's just as strong." You ask Rick. "He's strong, you're right at that, but his among is just, a little off." Rick tells you and you nod knowingly.
"And y/n." Rick calls. "Yes Rick?" You ask. "If anything is to happen, to any of you, take charge. Carl is capable of being in charge, I just feel like you would be more mature in this case." Rick says.
"Carl I swear if you let anything happen to y/n." Zach says. "I won't chill." Carl says.
You ignore both of them and answer Rick "Yes sir, I will." "Carl, don't let anything happen to y/n, y/n same goes for you, don't let anything happen to Carl." Rick tells the both of you as you both nod furiously.
"Okay, we'll see you later." Rick says. "Alright." You say.
You watch as your best friend walks with Rick and Michonne knowing he'll be protected. You sigh a heavy sigh and motion Carl to come.
"My dad trusts you a lot." Carl speaks up after moments of silence. "I understand that." You say.
"I-" you cut Carl off by shushing him. You both soon hear the groaning of the walkers.
"I got this one." You mouth to Carl as you take out your katana, one similar to Michonnes.
Carl nods as the walker drags his feet toward you both.
You wait until the walker comes up to you then you slice it's head completely off, then stab it.
"I've never really seen you use your katana, just a gun, and sometimes a bow and arrow." Carl says.
"I value my katana." You say. "That's cool. You're pretty cool." Carl tells you.
"Um, okay, yeah, thanks?" You question. "You've haven't been given a compliment in a while, have you?" Carl questions you as you nod.
"So how are you liking the group?" Carl asks. "It's nice, nicer than my old group anyways." You say shuddering at the memory.
"So what about Zachary, he your boyfriend?" Carl asks as he leans against a wall.
Your eyes go wide in disbelief as you laugh a little. "What? No, he's just my best friend." You say.
"Doesn't seem like it." Carl says. You laugh then speak "how so?" "The way you both look at each other, the constant arguing, you always protecting him, standing up for him. He always looks at you." Carl says.
"I wanna keep him safe because he's my best friend, we always argue because I want what's best for him. We look at each other as best friends would, as friends." You tell Carl.
"Yeah sure." Carl rolls his eyes at you chuckling. "You're rude." You giggle as you push Carl lightly.
"I dislike you." You laugh, and Carl chuckles. Carl pushes you into a wall on accident, soon forming a bruise.
"Oh my god, are you okay? I'm so sorry." Carl says worried and apologizes. "It's okay." You say accepting his apology.
Carl looks at the bruise on your neck, and rubs it, as he grabs your hand with his free hand. "It looks like a hickey." Carl chuckles, and you laugh a little at the statement.
You both stop laughing and look at each other for a little while. Suddenly you realize that Carl is standing in front of you holding your hand.
You feel heat rushing to your face as you stay silent. Everything is silent and it seems like you and Carl are the only two people on the planet.
Finally you speak up "we should probably be at the end of the pathway by now." You laugh, and Carl joins you.
"Let's go." Carl says as he grabs your hand and pulls you along the cave.
After battling a few walkers you both reach the end of the pathway. "Dead end." You say in disappointment.
"Guess we'll have to go back." Carl says. "Damn." You cruse.
You grab Carl's and as you both run down the pathway to where all of you split up to see that Michonne, Rick, and Zach were there safe.
"So I guess some people bonded." Rick says. "It looks like they had sex from what's on y/n's neck." Michonne says.
Both Carl and your eyes go wide "no, no, see I accidentally pushed y/n into a wall a-" Carl tries to explain.
Rick cuts Carl off while smirking "ohh so you pushed y/n against the wall while you made out?" Rick questions.
Shocked you realized Carl and you are both still holding hands. Carl's face became red as yours did as well.
"No, no! We were just joking around and playing that's all." You said quietly.
"And what's with all the dirt on your backs?" Rick asks Carl and you both. "We rested for a while." Carl said.
"Yeah, and that explains why the both of you are holding hands." Michonne says.
You both look at each other and immediately let go of one another's hands.
You look at Zach who looks amused, and then he mouths to you "you're telling me everything later."
Little did you know Zach was hurting on the inside, because he loved you with a passion. Yet you never noticed.
He put on a smile thought, because he did it all for you.
