Once Myles gets home he tells Emily how they had arranged. He also tells her that he discovered that Briar and Colin had split up once then got back together (A/N: we don't know what happened still and as neither have posted about another relationship so far we are saying that they got back together for sake of the start of the book until now all being Briar and Colin) so he's a little hurt because he wrote a whole song basically saying he wanted her back but it never happened for him but he's glad he has Emily herself obviously. Emily nods understandingly and hugs him and he smiles. He then adds that he's glad they got back together though as it keeps her happy and safe and with the love they had and their now best friendship that's what he wants. He chuckles to himself about saying the love we had as that's the title of the song he previously mentioned.
When Emily goes to start dinner Myles texts Briar and tells her that in 2024 he actually split his music between 2 accounts, the two being Myles Erlick, like it always had been and Myles George, George of course being his middle name. Briar responds with a thumbs up and wink so Myles chuckles and puts his phone away and goes outside and plays with Monroe his dog and Malcom Emily's families dog that she was dog sitting that day. They play until Emily calls Myles to dinner
