THERES A FEW POVS SWITCHES!!

Peridots pov:

I finally had made all 8 cameras, and it's coming to my 12 week here. Who knew it would take so long to make cameras?
I put all the cameras in a box gently after wrapping them with bubble wrap, and make my way to lapis' room.

Me and lapis have been getting more close and our relationship seems healthy but theres still some things she keeps to herself.

It's understandable, she's been through alot from what I can tell.
Ever since our last deep talk all I can think about is her family...I remember seeing her sister- well not her real sister. She was adopted into a nice family at the age of 3. Her sister was 5 at the time. I think her name was  Amelia and would go by Amy or Mia for short? When me and lapis actually talked at the age of 7 and 8 her sister was 10. I believe she had one other sibling- and one or two aunts and they all lived together but im not sure.

I knock on her door with my foot and her pearl opens it.

Lapis looks over the top of her Pearls head, her expression cold at first but softened as she saw me.

"Let her in."  She gets up from her desk and her pearl moves to the side. I walk in and put the box down next to other boxes. The other boxes are from other peridots, with my 8 and with all the other boxes with 8 in, we should have 32 cameras.

"There's my 8, sorry if I was a little late!  I didn't get you in trouble did I..?"  I know yellow diamond was itching at the bit to get the cameras done and ready to be put up.

I watch her flick a cigarette somewhere and walk over. She looked in the box and smiled and looked down at me.
"Don't worry. I didn't get in trouble- this time-" She ended the sentence with a snicker and I couldn't help but snicker myself.

The thought of lapis' family popped into my head again. It was genuinely starting to bother me.

"Hey uhm...lapis?"

Lapis pov:

"Hey uhm...lapis?"   Peridot had said it in sheepish tone. I turn to her and hum as a sign for her to continue.

"I've been thinking...about your family-"  

I froze. My family.  Why would she want to know about my family? What made her even think about my family? Does she want to talk about them? does she-

"What about em?"  My tone was a little harsher then I wanted it to be and I mentally kicked myself for it.
She scanned my face with her green eyes..they was always a bright green.

"Well- you know...do you miss them? Do you miss your sister amelia?..and your mum..?"
She looked very hesitate to even ask me that.
And in all honesty the question Hurt a little. It hurt alot. I did miss them. I desperately wanted to see them but they wouldn't even recognise me as Loriline quartz. They only know me as lapis lazuli, a diamond..a killer.

It's been six years and I'm a new person. To them Loriline is dead and to me it feels like I'm the one who killed her.

I cleared my throat before answering her.

"Of course I do. But that's the past so I don't let it effect me."  As much as i hated to do it, i flashed her a cold glare. Hoping she'd get the hint and drop it.

I heard her gulp, and fiddle with her sleeves. It's a little thing I've noticed she does when she's nervous. It makes me feel even more bad.

Peridots pov:

Once she gave me that glare I knew I had over stepped a boundary.  I fiddled with my sleeves and decided I would drop it..for now.

After a few minutes of awkward silence  the door swang open. 4 tall and buff chick's walk in followed by a shorter slim woman. The taller ones dogtags had "ruby" on it. The shorter one had "pearl" on it. They was wearing the same jackets as us but just yellow.

Lapis snapped her head around to them.

"What the fuck. Ever heard of KNOCKING."  She snapped at them. They froze and then continued to pick up the boxes of cameras and walked out. The pearl stayed behind.

She spoke, and let me tell you her voice made my ears bleed.

"My diamond said we can come in and get what we needed. If you was to attack us in anyway my diamond would have personally delt with you so I'd advice you don't."  She has this smug expression on her face. She turned on her heel and left.

Lapis looked fuming.

"Ignore her lapis- she's just a clod-"  clod?! Why did i say clod!!

She looks at me and burst out into laughter.

"Clod? What a unique insult- might have to start using it-"  her laughter died down.
I'm glad I managed to make her smile.

She walked over to me and kissed me quickly before sitting down at her desk and grabbing a shit ton of paper

"What's with all the paper?"  I sit down in the chair opposite from her.
She looks at me and groaned

"It's paper work- I also have the pink diamond authority paper work as yellow dumped it all on me."  She sighed and looked at it all.

I remember when yellow diamond dumped it on her, it was the first time I saw her.
As much as I wants to stay I thought it might be alot more easier if I was to leave. I could do with a shower.

"Would you like me to leave?"  I stand up and tuck my chair in
She looks up at me with thankful eyes

"If that's alright with you.. I'd appreciate it-"  after she said it she got up and gave me a another kiss.

"Why don't you come back later? We can even go out? I'll get my pearl to drop you off something nice to wear?",  she sounded excited, it was a nice thing to hear.

"Oh uh- sure! I gotta shower anyway, I'll see you in a bit"  I smile and walk out the door, her pearl shutting it behind me.

Im actually kinda excited, it's like a mini date!
I walk down the halls and make my way to my room.

I open and shut the door behind me and walk into my bathroom.

I cant wait!!
