𝐓𝐇𝐄 double doors of the UCLA Emergency Room slid open as Erica walked into the trauma department and placed her sunglasses atop of her head. After greeting her friends, she strolled to her office and unlocked the door. Sitting at her desk, she turned on her computer, and checked her schedule. After seeing she didn't have any surgeries scheduled for the day, she stood up, walked to the coat rack and grabbed her lab coat and put it on, then opened the door to her office, turned out the lights and walked out the door.
Later that morning, Erica stood at the nurses station with her boyfriend and her best friends, charting on a patient who had come into the Emergency Room for a broken arm and Will was treating a baby who had pneumonia.
Right now, the baby was currently having an X-Ray done. Will ordered for the baby to have vancomycin, 40 milligrams per kilogram and they admitted him to the PICU.
"So how was training with your uncle yesterday?" April asked as she stood at the nurses station charting on her 7 am patient
"So, he took the kids to this abandoned building where he made them jump from one roof to the other." Erica said as she filed a chart in the filing cabinet next to the nurses station, and Natalie, April, Maggie, and Will gave her a what the hell look. "Don't even ask. Miguel said their training was interesting yesterday too."
"Details." Natalie said, stirring creamer into het coffee
"So, Daniel had the kids catch live koi with their bare hands." Erica said. "Miguel said it was a lesson on what they should do if their opponent was faster than them."
"So this whole two training styles, how is that going?" Will asked
"Well, so far so good, hopefully it stays that way." April said
"Hey guys, I saw on Facebook that the drive in's playing the classic movies, and tonight they're showing Bloodsport." Ethan said. "You guys wanna go?"
"Bloodsport?" Connor asked, walking up to the nurse's station. "Badass. I'm down."
"Yeah, I'm down too." Will said. "I haven't seen that one in a while."
"So you girls in or not?" Ethan asked. "I know April's in, because she's into Van Damme."
April rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's statement. "Hey, he was my first crush. I'm going but you better buy me popcorn, I love the popcorn from the drive in."
"I'll call Sylvie and Maverick." Erica said. "I'll watch Bloodsport for the millionth time. When I was a kid, uncle Jimmy and uncle Tommy both suggested I should watch something along the lines of a Disney film, but uncle Dutch and uncle Johnny both said I needed to know true martial arts at its finest."
"Your uncle Dutch sounds like such an awesome dude." Will smiled. "Have you heard if he's getting out anytime soon?"
"Dad said his sentence is almost up, so he should be released soon." Erica said
