- This is set BEFORE PERCY (huge shock, right?) when Annabeth is eight, living in the Hermes cabin. She came to camp six months ago. Also, this is absolutely not cannon. There are a heap of things that are wrong in terms of timelines. Just go with it.

- Yes, I know that covid was years ago. At the time of writing it is 2024. But I also wanted to experiment with what live at CHB could be like when the world isn't about to end. So, through a series of headcannons, I came up with this. I think I also channelled a little of my younger self during covid into this, so... enjoy!!

The Coronavirus Drama- ANNABETH

20th January, 2020

Something weird happened today. Chiron mentioned that the mortals were experiencing a 'pandemic', and that the first case of Coronavirus hit the U.S a few days ago. Not that I care about them, but I hope my dad and stepbrothers stay safe. My step-mum can die though :)

Chiron also said that all summer campers have to stay here instead of going back to camp. I'm happy about that, but I know some people will miss their families. We also can't go on quests or get prophecies from the Oracle, which is weird. Is there something wrong with the gods?

Its official- Coronavirus has been declared an 'international disease of concern'. The Apollo kids say that there isn't anything their dad can do because 'it started in another country'. What's going on Apollo???

Anyway, I hope Camp stays safe.

Chiron introduced a new policy. So now we have to hand sanitize before dinner, which I hate. It feels all gloopy. And we have to hyper-clean shared weapons. Thankfully I have my own dagger.

Chiron says that we have new campers, but they have to isolate for a week even though they don't have the virus. I don't understand why.

We finally got to meet the new campers. Their names are Holly and Laurel. They seem very competitive.

I AM SO ANNOYED.

My dad Imed me in front of the WHOLE CABIN. He asked me to come back home. I yelled at him no. He said he was coming anyway. I told him Chiron wouldn't allow it and his wife is a demon before slicing through the message. I got cheers from the cabin though.

I had a creepy dream last night. I know demigods get prophetic dreams, but I don't usually get them. I had a dream that a spider was crawling up my arm. It was a huge, furry black one. Does this mean something big is about to happen? Is the spider symbolic?

17th February, 2020

Well, I think the spider might have meant something. I was sword fighting really well when a grey owl appeared above my head. Turns out I'm a daughter of Athena. I had to get covid tested to make sure I don't have the virus before I can move to the Athena cabin tomorrow, which doesn't make sense to me- if I was in camp when Covid-19 started, how could I have it now? - but I'm super exited. Hopefully the Athena kids are nice to me.

18th February, 2020

I moved in today. The Athena kids were nice, I like our head counsellor, Tris. Her name is Tristine, but she ignores you if you call her that. She is 15. Currently, there are 17 other Athena kids. Tris is the second oldest. Darren is the oldest, but he doesn't stay year-round, so instead he's the second-in-command. I'm the youngest, and Malcom is the second-youngest.
