I looked down at the girl "I think we should discuss the terms to make sure you're completely okay with his"

"We'll give you guys a moment" Trent said before taking Iris' hand and walking to the yacht's pool.

I sat on the sofa and pulled Claudia to sit beside me "Do you think you will be safe working in a hotel when everyone already knows you're with me? If not safety, think about comfort. Do you think you'll feel comfortable with people starring at you?" I asked trying to make my point across.

Claudia didn't reply right away, by the serious look on her face I figured she was thinking of what I had just told her. "I don't know if I'll be comfortable. Obviously people will talk but I can't just quit my job Jude" she said in her usual soft tone which I highly appreciated.

I nodded agreeing with her at an extend "Look-" I sighed. "I don't want to change your whole life around nor do I think I have absolute power over what you do with your life but I just don't think that you should keep working there. It wouldn't make sense for my girlfriend to be working in a reservations department. Is that what you want to do with your life, like are you passionate about the job?" I asked genuinely caring about finding a solution that would fit the two of us. My intention was not to take over her life and simply use her to protect my imagine. I wanted to find something that would also benefit her.

"Not really" Claudia admitted it "It pays the bills" she explained with a shrug "But I still don't see how I can just quit. I have my savings but I need to understand what to do before making a decision like that."

"Can I give you an idea?" I asked taking her hand and playing with her fingers. I could tell she wasn't a fan of being told what to do at this point so I needed to approach the subject with caution.
