That day, Dylan lay restlessly on his bed, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of the girl he had met at the farm. Her image lingered in his thoughts, vividly replaying their brief but memorable encounter. Her kindness, the way she moved through the fields, and her gentle smile had all left an indelible mark on him.Unable to shake off the feeling, he had even ventured back to the farm, hoping to see her again. He walked the familiar paths, scanned the fields, and inquired with the workers, but she was nowhere to be found. The search only intensified his frustration and curiosity, leaving him more determined to uncover who she was and why she had such a profound impact on him.
Barker entered Dylan's room, looking concerned. He found Dylan lying in his bed. "I was worried when you missed breakfast," he said, glancing around the room. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, I suppose."
"Is something on your mind Dylan."
"Keith, I want you to find someone."
"Whom? ", questioned Barker curiously.
" A girl. "
" A girl? What girl? "
" I met a girl at the farm the other day. I can't manage get her out of my head. I did try to inquire about her but failed miserably. Would you do it? "
" I can attempt. ",said Barker unsure how to respond," What is her name? ",he added.
" Although she did told her name but I don't seem to recall. I was too busy admiring her at the moment. "
" What did she look like? "
" Beautiful... "
Barker was left both surprised and puzzled with his friends response.
" I don't think that would be of much help mate.Is there anything specific you could suggest be about her that might actually aid me to find her? "
" No."
" Just find her as soon as possible.",said Dylan as he walked away leaving his friend clueless about his given task.-----------------------------
Dylan and his friend Keith Barker sat at the large mahogany dinner table, a delicious meal served before them on pearl white plates.
Barker noticed that Dylan was sitting quietly at the table, his mind occupied in deep thought. "What are you thinking, mate?" he questioned.
" Nothing special.",he answered sternly.
"Have you heard about the military regiment settled at the foothills of Verdantia?" asked Barker.
"Of course I have," replied Dylan.
"It is said that Dante Elliott Blackwood is the general at the camp," Barker said, stuffing a spoonful into his mouth.
"I am aware. I am hoping to meet him on the 17th. Is that date convenient for you?"
"Sir Dylan Ashford, I might embrace death if that pleases you, but I shall not accompany you to meet that man."
" Why do you say that?"
" The last time I met him he ended up breaking my ribs. I was laying in bed for 7 days straight. I have no wish to relive that fate in this life.", said Barker with an dramatic expression.
" Alright mate. Suit yourself.",said Dylan as a small chuckles left his lips.
