Sunlight peeked through the curtains casting a warm glow onto the intertwined pair snuggled together underneath the bedsheets. Spencer's head was resting on Toby's shoulder with her hand resting on his heart. She was asleep. Toby was awake watching her breath in and out. One hand was intertwined with hers and his other hand was curling her hair between his fingers. Toby marveled over her. Her hair was a tangled mess, and her face was glowing. Her skin felt like silk against his. He never felt so light and whole. Toby wanted to capture this moment and frame it inside his brain forever.

Toby started playing with Spencer's fingers, making her stir awake. Her brown eyes looked around before landing on his smile. Her cheeks burned as she grinned back at him.

"Good morning, beautiful," he said, sweetly.

"Morning," she replied with a slight squeak in her voice as she stretched.

Toby's arm went lower around her. Spencer moved her head, so it was resting entirely on his chest. Her hair tickled his chin, but her sweet smell was comforting.

"That was the best sleep I've ever had," Spencer said, alongside a proud smirk.

Toby smiled and said, "me too."

Last night's memories were fresh inside her mind. Every touch, kiss, and movement had been perfect. It was her first time and there was a weird factor about it being her first time, but it had nothing to do with Toby. Toby stayed present with her the whole time making sure she was comfortable. Toby made her feel things in a way she never felt them before. He made her feel new things she had never felt before. She made him feel things he never felt before. Two hearts beat together as one for the first time and it was a moment to be remembered for ages. It surprised Spencer how eager she was to do it again when it was over. When Toby touched her for the first time it was like he awakened something within inside her. It was exhilarating.

"How are you feeling?" Toby asked, after a moment of peaceful silence.

Spencer drew invisible circles above his heart and said, "very happy."

Toby smiled and nudged her to finish her thought, "and?"

"Sad," she admitted.

Toby's heart grew heavy as he said, "same."

Spencer looked up to meet his eye, "I'm only sad because I wish we could stay like this forever, and I know that soon we will have to leave this room and go back to our lives. We'll pretend like this never happened."

"Hey," he touched her cheek. "No, that's not true. I'm not going to pretend this never happened. It did happen, and I don't want you to feel that way. If anything, I'd like to think this will connect us more."

Spencer smiled. Toby nudged her cheek with his nose. He kissed her softly on the side of the mouth. Spencer turned her head so he could kiss her lips.

"Toby," Spencer said.

"Yeah?"

"I'm hungry."

Toby laughed and added "me too."

"Oh my god," Spencer turned to lay on her back. "Nobody ever tells you how hungry you get after sex."

Toby moved to get out of bed and said, "let's see what this motel offers for breakfast."

Toby pulled on his pants and put on a white shirt. Spencer sat up in bed with the sheet wrapped around her.

"Where are you going?"

"I'll be back."

He kissed her softly before heading out the door. While he was gone, Spencer took the time to put some clothes on. She grabbed the shirt he lent her off the floor and pulled it down over her chest. She searched the room for the underwear she wore last night. She gave up looking for them and instead put on a pair of shorts. Toby came back a moment later carrying a couple muffins and two cups. Spencer could tell by the smell that he got coffee for them. She met him by the door and took one of the coffees from him.
