Toby burst through the door of his house furiously running his hand through his hair. The sound of football coming through the television blurted through his ears as he passed the living room to get to the stairs. He walked upstairs to his room and pulled out his cellphone. He hit Spencer's contact and waited for the phone to finish ringing to get to her voicemail.
"Hey, it's me again," he said. "I don't know what's going on, but you not showing up tonight with no word has me worried. If you get this or any of my previous messages, contact me. Okay? I'm not mad, I'm just...I'm worried about you."
He ended the message and took a deep breath. Jenna appeared in his doorway looking smug about something.
"What?" He bit hard.
"Sounds like you had a rough night," said Jenna.
Toby exhaled then moved to close the door in her face. Jenna slapped her hand out to stop him. He looked at her.
"Who the hell do you think you are?"
Jenna grinned and said, "I bet your girlfriend not showing up tonight was quite the shock for you."
Toby lowered his hand away from the door and said, "what?"
"Oh, you're not even going to deny it now," said Jenna. "That's good. It will save time."
He squinted at her, "what are you talking about?"
"I'm guessing your plans tonight where to have dinner with your girlfriend, and she never made it there."
Toby shook his head and said, "I told you I'm not dating Aria."
"Of course you're not dating Aria," said Jenna, smirking.
All the color drained from Toby's face as he realized what was happening. Jenna knows. Of course, she knows. Toby mentally face-smacked himself thinking that she wouldn't figure it out. She had always been a nosey bitch.
"How long have you known?" He asked.
"Pretty much the whole time," she said. "You know, I play the flute, so I have private sessions in the mornings before school hours. I saw you sneaking around with Spencer a few times. I knew something was up, so I followed you two elsewhere. The Brew and down the street from her house."
"Great," Toby threw his hands up. "You really are a crazy stalker."
"It gets better. I sent photos of you two together to her parents."
"What?" Toby stood up straight.
Jenna grinned and said, "I'm sure dad will be hearing about this sometime tomorrow."
Toby walked up to her, "what the hell is wrong with you? Why did you do that? You knew the whole time! Why couldn't you just shut up?"
"Well, I had to get back at Spencer for everything she's done," said Jenna.
Toby shook his head, "everything she's done? She's never done anything to you."
"I wouldn't say that. You know, when I was dating Andrew, she was all he could ever talk about."
Toby's jaw dropped, "you were dating Andrew."
"Andrew dumped me the night you punched him for Spencer, so that's when I decided to send those photos of you two to her parents," said Jenna.
Toby's body trembled with anger, "you are unbelievable. You know, it really doesn't matter what you know. Spencer and I are still going to be together."
"You really think you two still have a chance at a happily ever after right now? Her parents are probably already planning a reason to have you arrested."
