A/N hello there, children. it is I, your probably less than favourite irondad writer. while I am busy editing the first chapter (lord, nobody told me editing is worse than writing) I wrote this silly little piece as, once again, a warmup! feed, my children. *dies*. ENJOY!!
summery: it's careers day. is being awesome a career? tony sure seems to think so!
“Mr Stark!” Peter cheered, right as he shoved a spoon of cereal in his mouth. “What’s that you’re wearing?” He raised an eyebrow suspiciously.
“A t-shirt, it’s a cat, pepper got it for me on her trip to Paris.” Tony said, amused, as he walked over to the kitchen island Peter had made home. The boy quickly moved his bowl in an attempt to cover up the milk he had spilled earlier.
“You’re not- you’re not wearing that, are you?” He asked carefully, like he was asking Tony where he had stored a bomb.
“Why not, the kids will love it,” Tony smirked, and now Peter was sure the man was just doing it to mess with him. He knew he had made a mistake when he asked Tony instead of Pepper for careers day, but as the man said ‘no take backsies,’.
Peter groaned dramatically. “they’re high school students, they’re not five, they won't be all impressed because you wear a cat shirt with a baguette!”
Tony shrugged. “I think it’s a wonderful shirt. Or do you want me to tell Pepper that I’m not allowed to wear the shirt she gave to me to my favourite intern’s career day.” The man cocked an eyebrow, making Peter roll his eyes.
“You’re not supposed to have favourites, mr stark. And I’m also your only intern,” Peter supplied, finishing his cereal and tossing the bowl into the dishwasher carefully.
“What! We have tons of interns.”
“Those are Stark industrie interns, if anything, they’re more Pepper’s interns, you’re only like, the face, she’d be the evil mastermind if you’d start another civil war,” Peter grinned.
“Alright underoos, enough insulting me. Happy is waiting for you in the car. I shall see you at twelve thirty so I can brag to a bunch of teenagers.” Tony hummed, finishing peter’s glass of orange juice, earning a glare from the younger.
“Bye mr stark!” with that, Peter bounced out of the kitchen and on his way to school.

“You dont think he’s going to make this too awful, do you mr Happy. I should’ve just asked you, you’re pretty cool,” Peter rambled to Happy. The man’s hand had been lingering over the button that’d put the privacy screen up for the last ten minutes, but he had yet to click it, so that was a win in Peter’s book.
Happy made a choke kind of noise as Peter mentioned bringing him to careers day. “I would prefer if you didn’t.”
“But I could ask mr stark to ask you, and he’s your boss, so you’d have to do as he says,” Peter supplied.
“That's not how that works, I have to do what I signed for, and that does not include giving a lecture about my life to a couple of teenagers because you said so.”
Peter groaned, rolling his eyes at that. “I think it’d have been fun.”
“Yeah I don’t think so.”

Peter had barely stepped out of the car when he was pulled to the ground by Ned.
“did it work? is Mr stark really coming today?” he said, excitement evident on his face, it made Peter smile. When the teacher had first announced careers day, Peter had groaned and smashed is head on the table so hard it worried MJ, he had thought about inviting Bruce, but Ned had said this was THE chance to prove Flash wrong.
