I didn't know whether to mourn or celebrate, I was getting away from all the foster homes, but Adam was gone. I had only known him for 2 years, but he was there for me, like a brother. I wasn't so sure about this 'Camp-half blood' or that I was related to Greek gods, maybe they're on drugs. Though if they're on drugs how did I see that thing and how is Adam dead. I'm going crazy, batshit crazy, my head hurts like a bitch, this is too much I a few hours. "Hey Neysa you alright there?" Percy asked as I put my head in my hands. "Yeah, I'm just fucking amazing." He looked a bit taken aback at my language, but kept talking. "Look, I know this is hard, Adam was our friend too, but were trying to help you. Neysa please just let us take you to camp, and everything will be fine." He sounded like he was talking to a frightened child who could fall apart at any moment. I am afraid I'll admit it, this is all uncharted waters to me, but I wouldn't fall apart, no I'm stronger than that. "I'm not going to take off running, I'm smarter than that princesses." I seethed at him, rude, I know but he had it coming, acting like he knew me. Percy sat shocked from his seat on the couch, after a few moments his shock turned to anger. "Who in Hades' name do you think you are?" He asked me, I didn't have an answer, I was just a foster kid with a bad reputation, I didn't ever mean to jack shit up, it just happened. Percy spoke again, louder and angrier, "You don't know jack shit about me or any of us, if Ash hadn't found you, you'd be dead and Adam alive." Ouch, hitting that card so soon, I see how he wants to play this. He seemed to regret what he said about Adam, but he countined, "Most demigods I've met are grateful to have been saved, whats your problem?" Ah, the question I was waiting for, " I mean I know your life's been rough, with your mom dead, but seriously? " He. Did. Not. Go. There. "Neysa, I need you to calm down." Ash was in front of me, I must of stood up in my anger, Jason and Percy were up too, leaving Nico on the floor. "Okay, lets just calm down, I don't think either of you meant any words said." Jason said in a firm voice. Percy took a few deep breaths until he relaxed, "Neysa, I'm sorry I didn't mean anything I said, I was just angry. Friends?" He offered me his hand to shake. He seemed okay, just a bit tender about something, I shook his hand. I couldn't understand why I let go so easily, maybe it was everything going on, and I had started it in the first place, so maybe I deserved that crap, Percy pulled me from my thoughts. "Well then," Percy said clapping his hands together as we all sat back down, "LETS WATCH NICO THE UNICORN!!!" He was like a kid in Christmas who had just eaten a batch of cookies. Nico groaned, "Not again." I laughed a little at the thought of Nico as a unicorn. These guys were okay, not as bad as I first thought.
