Everything was a blur. One second we were inside a helicopter holding hands, Jungkook and I, and the next we were in an ER.
For some reason, when they separated Jungkook and me for different evaluations, it felt as if I didn't see him I would get lost again. And I did.
Without him around, it felt like my anxiety really was taking over me. I would keep glancing back and forth to the door, but he never came in.
After the nurses had checked my normal stats, a doctor came in with a relieved look on his face.
"Hello, y/n. I am Doctor Lock. I checked all your stats and you seem in good health for what you've been through. Just your blood pressure is a little bit high. There's no need to panic. I believe that you being in a shock is the reason behind that."
I nodded at the doctor.
"Thank you, Doctor Lock. My hands are still a little shaky."
"Yes, I know. But with the medication I will give you, you should be just fine with the proper rest."
"Yes, thank you."
"And I will also give you medication to control your anxiety. I would also like to see you again in a week just to check up on how you are doing."
"Yes, of course."
He smiles at me before leaving out the room.
After I am released to go, I walked through the halls of the hospital a bit. Maybe I would bump into Jungkook.
As I walked, I came across an empty waiting room with the television on. On the tv, the news was on. I was about to leave when I heard the woman's voice.
"The two teenagers that had been lost at hand of a blizzard have miraculously been found just yesterday on Mountain Higher."
I slowly walked towards the tv and stared at it. All that time we had been reported missing. That meant my mother was probably noticed as well.
"It took them a bit, don't you think?"
Someone said behind me. I turned startled and stared at the person sitting on one of the chairs.
It was Jungkook.
I hadn't spotted him when I had peeked into the waiting room.
I sighed relieved that he was in his new clothes rather than the hospital ones. He stood up and looked at me tiredly.
We both walked to each other. Our arms went around each other's bodies. Tears streamed out of my eyes. His lips pressed on my forehead before he laid his on mine.
"We are alright, y/n. We are safe."
"I k-know."
"Then don't cry. Be happy. We both made out. Together."
Jungkook pulled back and grabbed my hand.
"They said a bus is waiting for us at the front to take us back home. Let's go."
He pulled me out of the waiting room and soon we were on our way home.
When we arrived back, it almost felt as if I didn't belong there anymore. Or maybe that I was a different person rather than the one I had been before leaving.
Our bus stopped. When I peeked out through the window, I saw that there were lots of cars. There were lots of cars with people and cameras.
Jungkook noticed the people as well and sighed irritated. I turned to look at him confused.
"Why do you think they are all there?"
"They are there to bug us. That's why."
He grabbed my hand and began to pull me towards the exit of the bus. When the doors opened, the people ran to us as if they had been chained for years and finally had been let go.
