The plane glided endlessly. Jungkook's hand was clasped warmly with mine as the lights in the plane dimmed to let the passengers rest. It had been a few hours since we had departed home and I was already feeling extremely homesick. Mostly because my mother was there. Just thinking about her beaming and glowing face made me feel refreshed and a bit glum simultaneously.

I turned to peek at Jungkook. His long legs were crouched intolerably cramped. Both of his knees were stressfully bent due to the confined space between our row and the row of seats before us. Although his lower body was in severe tension, his upper body seemed to be doing a bit better. His head was tilted to my side allowing me to have a full view of his unconscious face. My body shifted on the uncomfortable plane seat to face him. Seeing him sleep like this brought back the shivering yet warming memories of the cave.

Flashback

"Jungkook,"

"Hmm?"

"I've been thinking...What college do you want to go to once you find your mom?"

"Coll..."

His mumble was breathy. The clasp around my hand relaxed a bit. When I turned to look at him, his eyes were closed and his chest rose gently with each calm breath. I gently turned on my side to face him. Even with the piercing temperature of the nippy weather, his body was snuggly tepid. With his arm under my head as a pillow, I couldn't help but smile delightfully with my chapped lips. Jungkook's were beginning to become chapped as well due to his constant encounters with the frosty weather from outside the cave.

"He fell asleep before he could answer," I whispered gently to myself.

Seeing him rest at ease made me feel a bit settled. Day and night, Jungkook seemed stressed and restless. Although he was with me, there were times when he disappeared. When he would let me rest, I would see how he would take a seat at the entrance of the cave and stare out aimlessly and dispirited at the falling snow. Every time he would look at me after sitting down at the entrance for some time, I could still clearly see the long despair on the surface of his eyes.

With a light touch, I brushed his face with my free hand. There hadn't been one day in which his hands didn't hold mine. That was just the beginning of the numerous amount of gestures he would do through out the day. It could be mid-afternoon when all of a sudden cupped my face and stared uneasily into my eyes. Or it could be early morning and was squeezing my arm a bit. At some point, he had become so perturbed he sat on the corner of the cave with his face on his knees sobbing quietly yet flurried. However, after he sat in that corner, he didn't act strange throughout the day anymore. His apprehensive gestures ceased, except for the holding of my hand at night. Although I never asked him about it, I knew he was antsy and afraid that I might not actually be by his side. That is why he kept double-checking making sure I was there beside him. When I realized that, I felt immensely woeful.

The time in the cave was everlasting. Countless days seemed to have ticked by. The worst part was that our days there weren't fast-moving, no, they were the complete opposite. Time was stretchy and unceasing. But every moment, I tried to make Jungkook not feel alone and at ease.

End of Flashback

Staring at Jungkook now and then, was so different, yet so similar. Even until now, his secure grip on me hadn't ceased. As his eyes peacefully closed, even after all the events that had occurred to us tonight, I could see the bags under his eyes. He, like me, hadn't been sleeping superbly. A sudden squeeze in my hand startled me as I stared at Jungkook so delicately.

Both of his eyebrows sowed together disturbed. His breathing hitched abruptly and sharply. Almost as if he was gasping.

"Y/n...Please...Not yet...Please...," he mumbled in a jittery horror-struck voice.
