Half brothers are always bound to hate each other.
The shivering sentence orbits my mind. It contracts all my emotions along with my thoughts. There is a clogging motion ascending from the center of my stomach up to my esophagus and finally settling on the opening of my throat.
I have to move. They might come out any second.
With a hefty attempt, I move my stiff body down another hall. I can't even tell what hall it is because of my uncoordinated vision. I just walk down as fast as I can.
I did so many turns I didn't even know where I was anymore. The hall I stood in the middle of was dimmer than the others. It was very echoey and quiet. Jungkook hadn't shown me this part of the house.
Being there gave me goosebumps. That hall was not one for me to be in. Maybe I was going crazy, but the longer I stood there, the more the hall seem to stretch.
As if I had transformed into a bolting rocket, I ran away from the hall and tried to find my way back. I made it out unraveling all the turns I had taken and finally made it out. I spotted the clear glass doors that led to the back garden and bolted through them.
A wave of fresh air filtered through my exhausted, aching lungs as I made it out of the house. My heart pounded through my ears.
The fresh scent of spring flowers seemed to soothe me a bit. Jungkook hadn't really brought me outside for a garden tour. He had only shown me his secret garden that was the most beautiful place I had ever seen.
-Flashback-
"Cover your eyes, y/n," Jungkook said with a large smile while placing my hands over my eyes.
"Jungkook, where are we going?"
"You'll see it soon. Don't put them down until I tell you. You'll get to see my handsome face again so don't worry." He said with a low snicker.
I hadn't even felt him move behind me. My body shook startled as his hands pressed on my back pushing me to walk forward.
"There are some stone steps so I'll let you know."
My tummy erupted with anxious little sparks and overrun with excitement.
"Alright. Take a step."
I did.
"Another."
I did.
"Last one."
I did it.
He kept slightly pushing me. I could feel the texture of the ground shift below the soles of my shoes. We were walking on something cushiony.
Jungkook's hands grabbed mine and slowly removed them from my eyes.
"Here we are." He said.
My vision adjusted to the scenery. We were just at the entrance and it was magnificent. There were so many flowers and the grass below my shoes was bright green. To keep walking into the garden you had to pass this brick wall that had an arch wall as an entrance. There was a small garden rock path that would lead you around the garden and it began at the brick entrance. Beyond that, there seemed to be the most beautiful landscape anyone could ever see. The sunlight and the shadows blended so well it seemed like a fairy garden.
"Jungkook...this is...this is..." He stepped around me and stood before me.
His hand held mine. Our fingers intertwined. His handsome face glowed even more in the natural light. The shade of his hair that seemed dark as night now was a beautiful brown as young tree bark.
