The Christmas dinner was extremely festive. A Christmas tree in the entrance area - green and red table cloths on every table - and small ornaments hanging from the ceiling.

Daniel Larusso was as nervous as he could've been, he gulped as they made their way through the tables, and towards the bar.

It was interesting to see what the other side of Los Angeles was up to, what people who had money lived like. His eyes searched the room as he held onto Jenny's hand, and he met eyes with some familiar faces from school.

Daniel couldn't help but feel out of place.

"You getting a drink?" He asked, and the two stopped for a bit as Jennifer turned, her head shaking with a soft laugh.

"No, no." She shook her head. Never again would she drink out after that party. "You're gonna meet my parents, c'mon." She nudged her head to the side, and Daniel's heart raced at her words as his mouth parted.

"Uh - great." He nodded, and Jenny did the same - pulling him along once again. Slowing to a stop, she fixed her hair, her posture, and placed a smile on her face before gently tapping her parents shoulders, clearing her throat.

"You made it." Mr. Medina placed a small kiss on his daughter's forehead, greeting her and Mrs. Medina gave her daughter a small side hug.

"Hi, honey." Her greeting was short, and the two had held their glasses of scotch as their eyes averted to meet Daniel, who nervously glanced around the vicinity. "Who's this?" While her tone was soft, it was still slightly judgmental. At the sound of Mrs. Medina's words, Daniel turned and watched as Jennifer introduced him.

"This is Daniel Larusso." Jenny gestured to him, and Daniel stepped forward - a smile plastered on his face as he shook the hands of her parents who watched him closely.

"Hello, Daniel. I take it you just moved to Encino? How do you like it?" Mr. Medina spoke, his head tilting and Daniel pulled his hand away, his mouth slowly opening as he glanced to Jenny. He placed his hands into his pockets, shaking his head and taking notice to the way Mrs. Medina inspected him.

"No, actually, I don't live in Encino." He spoke, his voice almost trailing off and he waited for them to ask where, even though he very much hoped they wouldn't.

"Oh, where do you live?" Mrs. Medina perked up, and she watched him as she sipped from her glass - watching him look over to her.

"..Reseda, yeah." Daniel nodded awkwardly and his voice was low as he answered. Jennifer's parents had no response other than a glance to one another, and after a few seconds, their eyes lit up at the sight of an old friend arriving.
