Me and Draco suddenly started hanging out more as... frenemies I suppose?
After looking around some shops in hogsmede we became closer. It turns out he isn't that bad of company I guess. But I would never let him know that.
As we look in the jewelry shop I find this one gold ring with diamonds all around the ring. It catches my eyes but I know I wont buy it. I stared at it longer than intended.I hear footsteps coming towards me and I turn my head in the direction of them. It's a saleswoman. "See anything you like dear?" She asks kindly.
"Oh no thank you, just brow-" I say but get cut off by a voice behind me. "Yes she does. Y/n show her the ring you like and let her see your ring size." Dracos voice says from behind me. I turn my head around and look up at him, some blond strands of hair covering his eyes.
I show the lady which ring I like and she tries to figure out the size of my ring finger. Turns out I'm a size 6. I'm about to tell her I'm not buying it when Draco pushes me aside and pays her a lot of money for the ring. I mean a lot.
After Draco so kindly bought me the ring I promised him I'd pay for the ring anyway he likes. He took consideration to that and gave me one job. Instead of cash he wanted me to clean his dorm. Which he doesn't share. And let me tell you. It was a huge mess!
I didn't even know where to start. The bed? But there's stuff on the bed so should I put those away first then clean his bed? Can this guy really not clean his own bedroom that he really needs me to do this.
"This! This is what you want me to do?" I ask in shock of how big of a mess this dorm is.
"Mhm." Draco nodded leaning against the doorframe to his bedroom. I'm in the middle of this... I don't even know what to call this.
"Tell me when you're done. I'm going to hang out with Blaise and Theo." He says and walks away.
I sigh loudly and start with my original plan doing the bed. I see a girls bra in his bed and look at it confused.
Did he have a girl in here? I look around his room. The sheets aren't even on the bed. And they're wet-ish kind of dry. I see some of his ties. But as I start collecting them I see a Ravenclaw tie and Robe. On the inside of the robe it has some girls initials sewed into the robe.
I look to see who's it is and see, Cho Chang.
I'm pretty sure in fifth year Harry had a crush on her. And they kissed, and nothing ever happened after.
I don't know why but I feel some jealousy rising up in me after seeing Cho's bra and robes in here. I decide I'm not going to stay quiet and I'm going to call Draco out on him for this.
But as I'm walking out of his dorm room I overhear Draco having a conversation with Blaise.
"Thanks again man for letting me use your dorm room to have some fun with Cho last night." Blaise says.
"Oh yeah no problem. But you owe me one." Draco says and I can hear the two laugh at something. Then the conversation shifts to something else which I don't care about.
I sigh as I walk back into his dorm and try to clean the best I can. I throw Draco's disgusting sheets to the side and try to clean everything else. Besides the clothes son the floor, and.. other things he's pretty tidy for a guy.
"Hey are you done?" Draco says walking back in here. H pauses for a second before saying. "It smells better in here then its ever had. What did you do?" He asks raising an eyebrow.
"Sorry a cleaner never reveals her secrets." I say teasingly. He frowns at that. "Come on y/nnnn. Tell me." He whines but I shake my head and head for the door but I get stopped by Draco. "Wait. I need one more thing til you payed me back for that ring." He says quietly.
"Okay, what is it?" I ask matching his tone. He turns around and shits the door, locking it too.
I raise an eyebrow at. Him. "Is that really necessary?" I say.
"Yes it's a secret." He replies. I sigh before saying. "Well spit it out, what do you need."
He pauses before telling me then. "I need you to be my girlfriend."
I almost choke on my own words. "W-what?!" I sputter out.
He sits then runs a hand through his hair. "Just for a while. My parents host this ball every year and expect me to have a date this year and you know how I hate to disappoint them so I told them I have a date to the ball. And told them I have a girlfriend." He says so fast I almost miss what he says.
"And you want me to be your girlfriend for the ball?" I ask confused. Why would anyone think about taking me to the ball. I couldn't even find a date on time for the Yule Ball in fourth year. I ended up going with Theo because we both couldn't find anyone there than each other. We promised ourselves we were going as friends nothing else. Theo is like my brother. Not boyfriend and honestly, I had a good time that day. So It was all worth it.
"Well you did promise you'd do whatever I wanted just to pay for the ring. So.." He drags off the last word. I sigh and agree with him before leaving his bedroom. I got to my bathroom in the girls dormitories and take a nice hot shower after all that cleaning and when I finally out and in my bedroom about to change I see Pansy and Daphne talking. Me and the gurls have seen each their names so many times. But not in a weird way. So we always so feel comfortable with changing around each other. I drip my towels and change as they talk.
As they talk I'm still thinking abut this ball. How long will we be there? What is it like at his house? When is this ball? Are we fake dating here to? I had enough with the thinking. I need these questions answered ASAP.
I go to Draco's dorm and knock on the door. I hear a muffled come in and walk inside. I see Blaise and Theo in here with Draco. Draco's laying on his back on the bed and Theo and Blaise are sitting on the couch across from his bed.
I'm about to ask to speak to Draco privately when Draco props himself on his elbows and says. "Hey y/n! Come here." HE says and I walk to him reluctantly as he pulls me onto the bed with him to where I'm curled against his warm chest as he strokes m hair.
"We were just talking about you." He says a bit less enthusiastic as he did just a second ago. I look up at him and he whispers in my ear. "Play along"
He just answered one of my questions. We are acting like boyfriend and girlfriend inside of school too.
"Oh really? What were you guys asking about?" I say looking over my shoulder to see a confused Blaise and a happy Theo.
"About you and Draco....dating. Is it true?" Blaise asks slowly.
I look at Draco and meet his eyes before getting the memo and saying "Yeah we are. Have been actually."
"Really? When? How? Why?" Blaise asks more panicked as I hear Theo say being us a quiet little "Awww."
"Since yesterday after hogsmede." Draco says. I guess he has this all planed out. "Right after I gave her this ring," He says and shows them my hand.
They both look at it in awe. "That's so sweet!" Theo says in excitement.
"Yeah but don't tell anyone. Not even Pansy or Daphne we want to tell them tomorrow. Now if you will excuse us, we need to sleep for school." Draco says as the boys roll their eyes and say goodnight to us as they leave and close the door.
As soon as they leave I try to get out of here bed but Draco keeps me in the same position. "Draco let me go!" I say trying to kick my way out.
"No." He says as he pulls me even closer which I didn't know was possible and Burys me into his chest. "Just sleep." He says, and I'm about to argue but I hear his breathing even out and little light snores as he falls asleep. Soon I fall asleep in his arms too.
He smells good too.
But I still haven't had the chance to ask my question. Maybe I'll ask tomorrow in potions. He'll most likely be my partner since we may announce we're 'dating' to Pansy and Daphne at breakfast.
I fall asleep thinking about the ball and how exciting it might be to be there
