"Oh wow look at me Im the king I do big king man things" Nia mocked and threw the king piece at Peter, "fuck outta here"
"Whatever it's a stupid game"
"You were the one who wanted to play"
"Ya well I change my mind" Peter grumbled and slumped on the couch,
"You can't change your mind we already played the game and I won"
"Whatever, where's that blond bimbo Finnick, I thought you guys were going out tonight"
"First of all, you're literally thee blond bimbo" Nia got up and headed towards the door after checking her phone, "and not that it's any of your business, but he's waiting at the restaurant."
Nia grabbed her bag and waved at the siblings and Enne as she left.
Peter scowled as he stared after her.
"Peter you can't even be mad, I saw you all over Laurie at that gala yesterday" Susan rolled her eyes at him,
"He What??" Ed yelled offended, "After all my efforts to set you up with someone who is not unbearable and stuck up, you have one drink and go crawling back to your ex?" Ed scoffed.
"I think Nia and Finnick would look cute together" Lucy gushed, "They're both victors, how romantic"
Enne smiled, she agreed with Lucy and the others because she heard the way Nia talked about Finnick many times before, although Enne sensed there could be something deeper with Peter, she decided as long as her friend was happy she was happy.

"Hey" Finnick winked at Nia as she approached the table
"God you gotta stop winking" she rolled her eyes. A waiter came by to take their orders, Finnick went first ordering something she had never heard of in her life. What the fuck is all this? Nia looked at the menu in confusion, this cannot be in English how do you even pronounce that?
"I'll have uh- the, ah fuck it do you guys have chicken tenders?"
The waiter furrowed her eyebrows and looked at her as Finnick burst out laughing. Nia kicked him under the table as the waiter said that they would make an exception for her, and quickly left.
"where's Haymitch he was supposed to be here already"
"He's coming relax, you're so tense"
"Oh gee I wonder why? Maybe its because we're meeting up to discuss rebelling against the government" She whispered the last part sarcastically at him. He reached over and held her arm,
"You don't have to do this you know? The part you're gunna have to play in this is going to be very risky"
Nia was taken aback by his sudden sincerity, "I know" she said placing a hand on his, "I wanna help, it's the least I can do"
"Well well well, I come 5 minutes late and you two lovebirds make it a date" Haymitch strutted towards them and slumped down in his chair.
Nia cringed at the smell of tequila wafting off him, "First of all you're 30 minutes late and second of all we weren't even doing anything romantic"
"I was working up to something"
"Oh shut up"
Haymitch rolled his eyes, "Now if you two are done flirting let's talk business."

By the time dinner had finished the three victors had discussed what needed to be done before they can even begin rebellion plans. They needed information, and each had their own way of getting it. The thought of going behind Snows back sent a chill down Nia's spine but she knew she had to do it. The three also decided to bring Enne on in these plans because with her new status in society it would be easy for her to gain information on many of the higher-ups. The hard part would be keeping it from the Pevensies, as much as she wanted to, she knew that with the position that their father had taken in the government, it would be too risky to involve them.

Nia pulled Finnicks coat tighter over her shoulders as they both walked towards the Pevensie house.
"I could've walked home myself," Nia smiled and nudged Finnick, "I did win the hunger games after all"
Finnick chuckled and draped an arm lazily over her shoulders, "Yea I know, I saw it on TV. Was hot"
"Shut up" Nia laughed as they got closer to the house.
He leant on the doorframe and looked at her for a moment, "You surprise me" he said quietly
"How so?"
"I don't know, I just didn't expect you to be so, good?"
Nia laughed again, "Ok well I'll pretend not to be offended by that"
"I didn't mean it like that"
"I know, I know." She smiles, "You actually surprised me too"
Finnick raised an eyebrow, urging her to elaborate.
"I don't know, you're just... a lot more than a cocky asshole"
Finnicks jaw dropped, "Ok well I am offended by that" he said laughing, "Alright well, I'll be heading home now."
He smiled, slowly walking backwards towards the sidewalk, before turning to walk away.
"Wait-" Nia said suddenly grabbing his arm, as he turned, she reached up on her tiptoes and placed a soft kiss to his cheek.
Finnick stood there in shock for a moment but before he could say anything the girl had rushed inside the house.
He grinned as he placed a hand on the cheek she kissed and walked away.
