Lam's POV

I was at soccer practice when I saw some of the seniors back, and Arthit was with them, chatting and laughing. He looked like he was better. He saw me and just nodded at me, throwing a brief smile in my direction. I just nodded back as I wiped my perspiration with the edge of my jersey. I turned back to the guys, ready to get back into play.

Arthit's POV

I watched as Lam raised his shirt to wipe himself off, exposing his abs in the interim. Gosh. This guy was ripped, though you couldn't tell at all. Though he seemed like he was back to his usual stony self; barely giving me a smile when I had smiled at him. But then again, we weren't exactly friends, so I didn't blame him. I watched as he started playing. He was a really good player and had some pretty mad skills, seemingly on par with Forth. I reminded myself to check with Kong if we needed more players or subs for our upcoming match against the rival university. We could perhaps rope these boys in as subs.

Lam's POV

I was done with practice 2 hours later. Once done, I went to get a quick shower, changed, and then met up with Forth and Park outside. They were going to go drinking today and hence had asked me to come along too. I nodded, and we all went to our respective bikes. Just then, I saw some of the seniors, too. They were also joining us, so we all offered a ride to a senior each. Forth offered a ride to Kong, while Park offered one to Aim. That left Arthit as Sharp and Wai were making their own way there.

I offered a ride to Arthit, and he nodded, thanking me softly as he climbed on. As we were on the way, I asked him how he was feeling now.

"Much better now. How about you? Have your bruises healed?"

"Yes, P. I'm so much better now."

"I was watching you play earlier. You guys are really good. Will you be interested in being subs for our seniors match against Inichichat University next week?"

I was silent for a bit before I burst out laughing a bit.

"Thank you for the offer, P. But we are already subs for that match. Dean had roped us in actually."

Arthit blushed when he heard that. "That's great! I should have checked on this before asking you. Makes me look so silly now."

"It's ok P. You didn't know it anyways. But thank you for even wanting to give us the chance."

Arthit didn't say anything and hummed in reply. We soon reached the bar and we alighted. Arthit waited for me to park the bike and soon we joined the rest. The seniors had their own table so they all disappeared to that table while Forth, Park, Max, Tul and I took another table and were chilling there.

Arthit's POV

I looked over at the juniors as they were chilling. Forth was drinking his beer and was trying to hit on a girl. I chuckled at this casanova. My eyes flitted over to Park who was at the bar, chatting with Kong. I raised my eyes at this interaction as I knew Park was not the friendliest so it was amusing to see him in conversation with Kong who's like a social butterfly. I tried looking around for Lam but could not find him. Just as I was looking, he walked in. He must have gone for a smoke and was coming back in when I saw the fellows who had troubled us the last time approaching him. Amongst that group, was the junior who I had refused to teach and had attacked me. I heard his lawyer had pulled some strings and that's why he evaded punishment. But he had been given a stern warning by Dean.

But why the fuck was he approaching Lam again? I watched as Lam saw them coming and narrowed his eyes. He didn't see me watching and I instantly stood up, wanting to go over to help. I pulled Sharp to help me and we signalled at Kong who came running over with Park. Forth joined us too and I made my way towards them with these fellows backing me.

I had just reached Lam when I heard that junior opening his mouth but he fell silent when he saw us. He gripped his fists tightly and narrowed his eyes but did not say anything. He flicked his eyes around and saw the boys around me so he knew a losing fight and went away quietly. Lam looked over at us and just grinned. The boys chuckled and then everyone dispersed. Lam was about to walk past me but I held onto his hand tightly.

"Please be careful Lam. I didn't like the look on that guy. I worry he may do something to you."

Lam looked at me. He didn't say anything but just nodded his head in agreement. I let go of his hand and watched as he walked away. I just stood there for a bit until I heard Lam.

"Aren't you coming, P?"

I looked over at him and just nodded, joining him as we went back to our respective tables.
