I woke up around 7 am. the following day. Ugh. It was a Sunday! Why was I up even so early?

But I realised I heard my phone ringing nonstop! I fumbled around and found it, answering only to jump out of bed like 5 minutes later, scrambling to get ready!

I got an Uber and rushed to Forth's dorm straight! I knocked on his door incessantly until he finally opened the door, looking at me sleepily. He wasn't as bruised up as I thought he would be but still looked a bit worse for wear.

"What happened, Nong?" I asked, trying to keep my voice as calm as possible.

"What..how did you know? What are you doing here?"

"I asked what happened!" My voice was getting higher now. Forth stared at me before finally filling me in on what had happened. He had dropped me off and made his way to his dorm. He had asked the cab driver to drop him off at the 7-11 as he wanted to buy cigarettes when he was accosted by the drunk asshole earlier from the bar. Luckily, the cab driver was still in the vicinity and had called the cops so Forth wasn't too bruised.

I sighed, gripping my fists tightly. I looked at him.

"Please..please be careful. It was so late. Was cigarettes really necessary?"

Forth looked like he wanted to say otherwise but he bit his tongue and just shook his head no, apologising for getting into trouble.

"It's not even your fault. I was just...I panicked when Kong called and told me. You told Park but couldn't tell me?"

"I didn't want to worry you Phi. I mean..it's really nothing. Park and I..and Lam..we always tell each other everything too. Just in case we need an extra pair of hands."

I fell silent, just looking at him and then at the ground, muttering, "Can you tell me next time too? So I can also be there for you? Please?"

I didn't hear anything for a long bit but then I heard Forth reply.

"OK Phi. I'm sorry. I really didn't want to worry you."

I just nodded, telling him to rest and was about to go off, just looking at the ground the entire time. Forth held onto my wrist and tugged at it. I didn't look up at him and he placed one finger under my chin, lifting it up.

"Nong.."

"I said I am sorry. Aren't you going to look at me in the face before you go off?"

I blinked once, then twice, stunned at his request. I ended up smiling, feeling a faint flush flit over me. I been blushing way too much since yesterday over this guy.

I just nodded, telling him to take care. He smiled cheerfully at me, his dimples crinkling his cheeks. He finally let go of my hand, and I turned to go when I heard him call out, "Be careful too, Phi."

I just nodded, not turning back because there was no way in hell I was letting him see my red as fuck face. But if I had turned, I would have realized that things were not any better on his face either.
