Lam

I turned to ask P Arthit if he was coming, and then he tagged along. He went back to his own table, though a little while later; Kong came over to ask us to join them. We were a little hesitant, but he insisted, so we all went over.

Park sat next to Forth, who slid in to sit next to Kong. There was no more space on his side, so I went to sit next to P Arthit, who was chatting away with Aim, who was next to him. I quietly nursed my beer while everyone was busy chatting away.

I have always been such, just doing my own things while we all chilled at the bar. A little while later, some of the girls from the cheerleading team came by, wanting to hang out with us. Forth slid out to go hang with them. I just shook my head at this and was about to drink my beer when this junior whistled softly at me. I looked up, stunned. She asked me if I wanted to join her on the dance floor and I said no. She kept trying , and I finally was about to lose my patience and snap at her when P Arthit placed his arms around me and pulled me towards him.

"He said no Nong. You should let it go. And if my boyfriend keeps saying no but you don't want to accept , hen I have no choice but to step in."

Not only her eyes, mine opened big too at that statement! I turned to look at him , and he patted my cheeks softly, smiling. When I turned back to that girl, she had left. Arthit took his hands away from me.

"Sorry, I had to rescue you, but I had no idea how to. So, I tried that. It worked, though, so forgive me?"

The table was quiet for a full minute before everyone burst out laughing. I just chuckled lowly and thanked him for rescuing me.

Everyone drifted back to their own conversations as I leaned back. A few more girls tried to hit on me, and I was getting exasperated. I looked over briefly at Arthit for help, and he just slung his hand around me, pulled me in closer to him, and that was it. No one else dared mess with me for the rest of the night. I finally had a breather. The irony was that I have always been the one rescuing people, and for the first time, someone else had to. It was just funny. But I guess being the partner of the head hazer has its benefits in school. Even if it was not real.

We all decided to leave around 1am. I offered P Arthit a ride, but he said Sharp had gone back earlier, so Aim will drop him off. I nodded, thanking him for earlier, and went off.

The next day, I was walking to the canteen, and I could feel a slight overexcited buzz in the air as I made my way towards the boys. I couldn't place my finger on what it was and just dismissed it. However, I realized this was the case for the next week or so. It also started spilling over in soccer practice where usually the cheerleading team will try hard to flirt with me, but everyone stayed away this time. What was going on?

I wasn't too ruffled as it meant I had a very peaceful time in school but it was just a tad hilarious. However, this funny feeling soon became a cause for a fight 2 weeks later.

I was at soccer practice when I realized the team that we were playing against today had that mother fucker who had messed with me and P Arthit the last time. His name was Lin, I think. I groaned internally when i saw him but Park came over and pulled me close to him, muttering in my ears to just hold my peace and if he tried anything funny, he would have him by the balls. I chuckled and nodded, and that caught Lin's attention.

"Wow, you really have it good, huh? Head hazer as boyfriend for protection and your best friend for the lay, I am guessing? Why, Arthit cannot satisfy you? You need 2 guys?"

I saw red at his words and lunged at him! Park roared at him too but Forth thankfully jumped in to pull us away but I had managed to get in a few punches! I was hopping mad and pulled myself away from Forth to lunge at Lin but someone else pulled me back! I turned to roar at that person and realized it was Arthit!

I fell silent looking at him but I was pissed at Lin. From my peripheral view, I could see Lin opening his mouth to say something and I turned around but Arthit pulled me back and yelled at me.

"STOP IT! STOP BEHAVING LIKE HIM. HE'S EGGING YOU ON PURPOSE AND YOU ARE FALLING FOR IT. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?"

I glared at Arthit. "Drop that look now. I am your head hazer. I'm your senior. I'm telling you. Stop letting him get to you. Get out. Get out of this field."

I kept quiet and finally looked at him again.

"No."

"What?"

"I said no. He not only insulted Park, he insulted you too. I am not letting him get away with it. This mother fucker should have been hit by me at the bar itself but he escaped. So, no."

I said get out. Get off the field before I tell Dean and bench you for the season. That also means detention and you be suspended from Sotus too."

"You will not.."

"Try me. I said, off the field Lam."

I was so mad that I could burst a vein but the look in Arthit's eyes told me he was not kidding. I turned and walked away, losing my shit, yelling as I left. I didn't stay to hear what happened to Lin but Park and Forth told me that Arthit complained to Dean on him, pulled some strings himself and got him suspended for a week.

But I was still pissed. And especially so at Arthit. Who the fuck did he think he was?
