I looked at myself in the mirror and signed. It was a tough day today at work.

Sometimes people scare me with their incompetence.

But as my mother always said, 'If you want something done right, you must do it yourself!'

And so far in my thirty-four years of life, that sentence had come true more times than I would like.

I almost lost a dozen girls today from the ages of six to fourteen.

Frou-Frou and Fluffy were feasting on Damian Pavlov. The piece of shit ran the biggest trafficking ring in London. I had been hunting the fucker for months. When I finally found a clue, a trail to follow, I grabbed that thing like my life depended on it. Little lives depended on it.

Someone from within sold us out.

He got fed to Fluffy as she was still hungry.

I had to ask for help from an old friend in order to be able to pull this off.

I had a minimal time gap to reach the facility where they had the kids locked in. After that, they would be gone for good. And with them my every chance to capture Pavlov.

The Greeks were on vacation in London for their anniversary. I hated I had to ask but there was no other way. I needed two more pair of hands.

Well, I needed more but most importantly I needed two skilled pair of hands.

Thankfully Zeta and Leonidas were able to help me.

"One day I will take you to Greece to meet them my little star, they love you already" I spoke to the camera while taking my makeup off with a cotton wipe. Kieran was on babysitting duties while I was gone for the last day. I had just returned home to my little girl an hour ago. Ki left after a brief summary of why he doesn't want kids in the future.

My star was a handful and had managed at the mare age of two to manipulate a grown-ass man to do her bidding.

They went to the fair and she kindly asked to go on every ride twice.

Kieran was toasted. And it was hilarious to watch him rumble about what my daughter put him through. The corner of his face and his waterline still had remnants of makeup. And he kept his hands in his pockets all the time which brought to my mind the new nail polish set I got Lia.

His last words as he got out of the house were 'No children Kieran, no children'.

"Zeta is an amazing human being. The purest heart out there. Kind and funny and empathetic. She was my sunshine back in college. My best friend. Still is to this day. We met we clicked and we did everything together. We were roommates back in NYU. I was studying biology and she was secretly taking art classes along with chemistry."

I chuckled remembering what an amazing time we had back then.

"It helps to know what we actually were. I had barely started being Indigo back then along with the responsibilities that came as a package. And she was an assassin named Rose. She didn't work with anyone. She was just being by herself." I paused and grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste to brush my teeth.

"You know my love. I wish you find a friend like that in your life."

I heard a small little yawn outside the bathroom door. I peeked outside and my little star was starting to wake up she turned around and hugged her teddy bear with a small content smile on her face before she got back to sleep again.

She had fucking Darren in her arms.

I contemplated pushing Darren into my babies' enclosure the other day he was pushing the body of a pedophile inside, but my intrusive thoughts didn't win. He was still alive and well.

I had to finish this entry before Lia woke up.

"Zeta and I did everything together. And we had the time of our lives." I smiled.

"I have to keep this short my love, Zeta and I went to a party one night during our first year. That's where she met Leonidas. We both knew who he was. The heir to the Greek Mafia. We opted to stay away from him, but my dear friend is the most lightweight of them all out there. And after only one drink she straight up stood up walked up to him and kissed him in front of everyone. the rest is history. Leonidas Apostolou got so enthralled by her after that night and he sought her everywhere he couldn't stay away. She played a little hard to get because she was so embarrassed, but they are married now with a son who is six, Iasonas, and their two two-year-old daughters, Josephine and Aphrodite, they are the same age as you are.

"distance may have come between us me here and her all the way to Greece, but our relationship never changed. If you ever need anything, they can help. You only have to ask. Leonidas may come out as cold but I've seen his caring side. Don't be fooled by his hard exterior my star."

"The moral of the story is if you want something it's not wrong to act first. Well maybe not in that context, definitely not! but you can take initiative. Be kind and bold like your auntie"

With that, I ended the hummingbird entry and locked the mirror changing the password to the day I found my fallen star.

I tiptoed into the bedroom, the morning sun casting a gentle glow through the sheer curtains. I approached the bed where Lia, was nestled under a fluffy pink blanket, clutching her beloved Darren.

If her future boyfriend is named Darren I will kill him.

A woman can only take so much.

"Good morning, my love," I whispered, gently brushing a few stray hairs from Lia's forehead.

Lia stirred, her eyes slowly fluttering open. She blinked up at me, a sleepy smile spreading across her face. "Mama," she murmured, her voice soft and drowsy.

I smiled back, leaning down to kiss Lia's forehead. "Time to wake up, sweetheart. It's breakfast time."

Instead of sitting up, Lia stretched her tiny arms toward me. "Snuggle, Mama. Missed you."

My heart melted at those words. She had only been away for a day and Without a second thought, I climbed into the bed, wrapping my arms around my daughter.

Lia snuggled closer, resting her head against my chest. "I missed you too, Lia," I whispered, holding her tight. I may or may not had pushed Darren off the bed with my foot.

We lay there for a few moments, savoring the warmth and comfort of each other's presence. I gently rocked back and forth, humming a lullaby I started to sing to Lia when I first got her on the plane.

Lia looked up, her big, curious eyes gazing at me. "Mama, bweakfast?"

It was still cute how she couldn't pronounce her r-s sometimes.

I chuckled softly. "Yes, sweetheart. Breakfast. How about pancakes today?"

Lia's face lit up with excitement. "Pancakes! Yay!"

I gave her one last squeeze before sitting up. "Alright, let's go make some pancakes." Taking my little girl over my hip.

I believe Maeve would have loved Atticus. If anything their shared hatred for Darren runs through their veins.
