Me or You (Fluffyshrimp)

Goob huffed from behind the box. Peaking behind the corner. Twisted Rodger was still there.

He wasn't paying attention and hadn't noticed the capsule didn't have rings. He instinctively grabbed it.

Now he only had 2 hearts. No bandages. He was stuck until Rodger left. He groaned.

He perked up when he heard a scream. Immediately running to the nearby window to look out of it.

Shrimpo was being chased. And of course it had to be by Twisted Pebble. The fastest Twisted.

Twisted Pebble bit Shrimpos arm. He let out a screech at that before diving behind a box. He panted heavily. Shaking

Twisted Pebble slowly approached the box.

Goobs eyes widened. He had seen Shrimpos get attacked last floor. He was now on his last heart.

Goob ran past Rodger. Yelping at the ball flung towards him.

He was now at his last heart too.

He ran over and grabbed Shrimpo. Pulling him towards him. Before Shrimpos could even react Goob ran towards Twisted Pebble. But a bit at the side.

"Hey! Over here!" Twisted Pebble chased him down the hallway.

Shrimpo took a second to regain his composure before noticing the last machine.

He desperately clung to it and twisted the valve as fast as possible. Failing a few times from pure adrenaline.

Once it was finished he got up and ran to the Elevator.

On his way there he stopped at something.

A Health Kit!

He threw the gumballs he had on the floor and immediately grabbed it and ran inside the elevator.

He waiting 10 seconds for Goob. "GOOB!? GOOB!!" He screamed out.

3 seconds before the Elevator had to close. Goob dove into the Elevator. The door slamming behind him.

Shrimpo ran over "GOOB!? ARE YOU CRAZY!? YOU COULD'VE DIED!"

Goob panted out "...It was Me... Or You..."

Shrimpos angry expression (which he used to cover his pure concern) faded.

He walked over to the Elevator buttons and set it to go back up to the lobby before sitting beside Goob.

He opened the Health Kit and grabbed Goobs arm. Goob flinched a bit at this. Shrimpo glared at him. "Stop moving."

Goob pulled his face off the floor to look at Shrimpo. His expression changed from tired to surprised.

He had seen Shrimpos holding the Health Kit. He thought he planned on using it on himself. But here he was. Using it on him.

Shrimpo treated his wounds. Shrimpos touch was rough. Unlike Goobs which was always soft and gentle.

"That was stupid of you." Goob glanced up at Shrimpo. Who looked... Frustrated...? "You could've died."

Usually Goob would reassure him that he didn't mind. And he did it for Shrimpo. But he had already done that. And he was tired. So he didn't bother.

"You could've too..." Shrimpo didn't reply to this. Continuing to treat Goobs injuries.

Once he was done. Shrimpo discarded the empty Health Kit and laid down. The tiredness started to wrack at him.

He spent most levels running around trying his best not to get caught by the Twisteds. His legs felt like they were spaghetti.

He tried to keep his eyes open. But he just couldn't. He fell asleep quickly.

Shrimpo awoke with a groan. The first thing he noticed was the feeling of a large bandaid on his shoulder where he had been bitten.

The next was the feeling of soft fur around his body.

He slowly opened his eyes. He saw light brown fur. Green grass and beautiful flowers.

They were up against the tree in the lobby.

But moreso. They were cuddled up to Goob.

Immediately his face turned red hot. Oh god. Not only was he cuddling Goob. But in PUBLIC!?

He was too stunned to move for a moment. But as soon as he was about to sit up he felt Goob shoot up. "Wh- Where we-!?"

Shrimpo looked at him confused. "Wha- Did YOU not do that!?" Shrimpo has thought Goob brought him over here and cuddled him.

Goobs face was red "N-No! I fell asleep in the elevator!" Shrimpo looked away. Redfaced. "...Well I didn't..."

Boxten walked past "Oh! You guys are awake! Vee found you 2 cuddled up in the elevator. So she brought you guys over there so you could sleep! Thanks for going on that supply run!"

Goob waved at him "No problem Boxten!" He tried to hide the blush on his face.

Boxten left and Shrimpo stood back up. Embarrassed. And walked away with stiff legs.

Goob stood up "Wait! Shrimpo!"

Shrimpo paused. Looking back at him. Goob rubbed the back of his head. Flustered.

"I uhm- You were... Actually kinda comfortable... Would you like to... Go back to my room and finish sleeping? I'm still tired... I- If you are!"

Shrimpo didn't understand. Why was HE so flustered? Was this any different to him? Shrimpo murmured something under his breath.

"Fine... Just... Don't tell anyone or I swear I'll-" Goob took Shrimpos hand. His face turned red again.

Despite his cold metal hands. His grip was so gentle.

Before Shrimpo even realized it. He was in Goobs bed. His hear on his chest. Clinging to his soft body. A warm blanket wrapped around them both.

He was pretty tense. Understandably. He hadn't ever been this close to anyone ever.

It only took a few minutes until he heard gentle snores from Goob. He looked up at him. He looked so peaceful and comfortable.

It made him relax some. They weren't out in public anymore. It was just them. They were alone. No one would judge them.

He nuzzled into Goobs chest. His body was so much warmer than Shrimpos. Which was quite cold usually.

He slowly started falling back asleep. They had a rough supply run. A nap sounded really nice.

He closed his eyes. Falling asleep cuddled up to Goob.

He hopes they can do this again sometime.
