Chapter 22: A Desperate Attempt

Jisoo had spent the past few days grappling with the reality of her situation. The doctor's words echoed in her mind, and the prescription for hormone therapy sat on her bedside table as a constant reminder of the challenges ahead. Despite the odds, she was resolute in her decision to have a child with Taehyung, believing it could be the key to rekindling their fading connection.

She knew, however, that Taehyung's heart was still heavy with thoughts of Jennie. It had been weeks since Jennie left for Russia, and while Jisoo had tried to be supportive and understanding, she could see the sadness in Taehyung's eyes. In an effort to help him move on and also create an intimate moment that might lead to conception, Jisoo planned a getaway for the two of them.

Jisoo booked a secluded cabin in the mountains, a place where they could escape the city's distractions and focus on each other. She framed the trip as a way for Taehyung to relax and clear his mind, hoping that the change of scenery would help him forget Jennie, even if just for a little while. She packed everything carefully, including a special ingredient she hoped would help facilitate her plan.

When they arrived at the cabin, the setting was perfect-snow-capped peaks, a warm fire crackling in the hearth, and a cozy atmosphere that felt miles away from their usual life. Taehyung seemed to appreciate the thought Jisoo had put into the trip, though his smiles were still tinged with a lingering sadness.

On their first evening, Jisoo prepared a special dinner. She poured them both glasses of wine, and they sat down to eat by the fireplace. The conversation flowed easily at first, filled with lighthearted memories and gentle teasing. But as the night went on, Jisoo noticed Taehyung's gaze drifting, his thoughts seemingly elsewhere. Determined to keep the mood light and intimate, Jisoo reached for a small vial she had hidden in her bag-a vial of Viagra

She hesitated for a moment, feeling a pang of guilt. This wasn't how she wanted to rekindle their intimacy, but she felt desperate. The doctor's words about her diminished fertility echoed in her mind, and she knew time was of the essence. She discreetly poured the contents of the vial into Taehyung's drink, stirring it quickly before handing it to him with a warm smile.

"Here's to new beginnings," she said, clinking her glass against his.

He took a sip of his drink, and Jisoo watched him carefully, hoping the drug would take effect soon.

As the evening progressed, Jisoo noticed a change in Taehyung. He seemed more relaxed, more engaged in their conversation. She leaned in closer, touching his arm . Gradually, the distance between them seemed to close. Jisoo took the opportunity to guide him toward the bedroom, where she had set up candles and soft music to create a romantic atmosphere.

Taehyung followed her lead, though there was a hesitation in his movements. As they lay on the bed, Jisoo kissed him softly, trying to ignite a spark that had long been dimmed. To her relief, Taehyung responded, his touch becoming more assured and his kisses more passionate. Jisoo felt a rush of emotions-hope, fear, desperation.

As they became more intimate, Jisoo whispered, "We don't need to worry about anything tonight. Let's just be together."

Taehyung hesitated, a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. But Jisoo pressed closer, her hands caressing his face, and he eventually nodded. The drug had done its work, and soon they were lost in the heat of sexiness

As the evening drew to a close, Jisoo led Taehyung to the bedroom. The soft glow of candles bathed the room in a warm light, casting gentle shadows on the walls. The atmosphere was carefully crafted-romantic and intimate, a haven where they could be just two people, away from the troubles of the world.

Jisoo looked up at Taehyung, her eyes searching his for a moment of connection. She reached out, brushing her fingers along his jawline. Taehyung hesitated, but then leaned in, capturing her lips with his in a gentle kiss. It was tender, tentative at first, as if testing the waters.

Encouraged, Jisoo deepened the kiss, her hands sliding up to the nape of his neck. Taehyung responded, his arms wrapping around her waist, pulling her closer. The kiss grew more passionate, a quiet desperation underlying their movements. Jisoo's heart pounded in her chest as she felt his warmth, his touch igniting a fire she hadn't felt in a long time.

She gently pushed him onto the bed, climbing on top of him. Taehyung's hands roamed over her back, pulling her closer still. Their kisses became more urgent, breaths mingling as they lost themselves in the moment. Jisoo's hands moved to unbutton his shirt, her fingers trembling slightly. Taehyung's touch was soft but firm as he helped her, their clothes falling away piece by piece.

As they lay together, Jisoo whispered softly, "Let's not worry about anything tonight. Just you and me."

Taehyung gazed at her, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions-uncertainty, longing, and something else she couldn't quite place. He nodded, and Jisoo felt a wave of relief wash over her. She leaned down to kiss him again, her hands caressing his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath her fingers.

They moved together, slowly at first, exploring each other's bodies with a tenderness that spoke of both familiarity and distance. Jisoo felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes, a mix of emotions overwhelming her. She knew this might not heal the rift between them, but in that moment, she felt connected to him, if only physically.

As their movements quickened, the world outside seemed to disappear. There was only the sound of their breaths, the feel of skin against skin, and the intense connection between them. Jisoo clung to Taehyung, her body pressing against his, as if trying to hold on to this moment, to keep it from slipping away.

In the aftermath, they lay together, tangled in each other's arms. Jisoo rested her head on Taehyung's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. She closed her eyes, feeling both content and anxious, unsure of what the future held but holding onto the hope that this night would bring them closer.

Taehyung stroked her hair absentmindedly, his thoughts a mystery to her. Jisoo knew she had taken a risk tonight, but she also knew she couldn't have done it any other way.

She knew what she had done was wrong, manipulating him in such a vulnerable state. But she also felt a glimmer of hope-perhaps this was the first step toward mending their relationship, toward building the family she so desperately wanted.

Taehyung, however, seemed distant even in the afterglow. He held her close, but there was an unmistakable tension in his body. Jisoo bit her lip, feeling a pang of anxiety. She knew this wouldn't be enough to erase Jennie from his heart, but she hoped it was a start.

As Taehyung drifted off to sleep, Jisoo lay awake, staring at the ceiling. She had crossed a line tonight, but she convinced herself it was for the greater good. She had to believe that this would bring them closer, that their love could be rekindled. But deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling that she had only complicated things further.

In the quiet of the night, with only the soft crackle of the dying fire for company, Jisoo's mind raced. She was terrified of the future, uncertain of what it held. But for now, all she could do was wait and hope that her actions, however misguided, would lead to the outcome she desperately desired.
