"Emboar scald!" Hilda called out "Lycanroc stone edge and use them rocks to get in the air." Ash retaliated. The battle had been an intense one it had been going for 15 minutes and both pokemon were getting tired. Ash made a mental note to thank Prof Kukui on keeping his pokemon conditioned so well.
The attacks collided causing and explosion, the dust from it covered Lyncaroc. "Where'd he go?!" Hilda gritted out.
"Accelerock go!" Ash called Lycanroc eyes turned red and a red aura flowed off him. Then his body was surrounded by a whitish-grey aura. Using his momentum Lycanroc hit the ground and took off connecting the attack on Emboar.
Emboar slid back and Lycanroc jumped back in front of Ash. Both pokemon were tired and panting hard. "I need to end this' Ash and Hilda were thinking.
"Hey, Hilda!" Ash called. She saw Ash holding up his arm with the Z-ring on it. "One last big attack?" She nodded "Incineroar show them the moves." The heel pokemon nodded. He showed them the motions of using inferno overdrive.
"Thanks, Incineroar!" "Boar!"
"Let's GO!" they both yelled crossing their arms. The Z energy flows from the Z-ring to the crystal and into their pokemon. Going through the movements flawlessly Hilda and Emboar could feel the energy and power building up from the attack.
"EMBOAR INFERNO OVERDRIVE!" Hilda yelled.
"LYCANROC CONTRENINTAL CRUSH!"
A large ball of fire gathered in front of Emboar while Lycanroc jumped into the air gathering rocks and boulders combining them into one giant mass. Launching their attacks they collided causing a huge explosion sending dirt and debris everywhere everyone had to cover their faces unless they were one of the aces that didn't need to do so.
When the dust finally cleared both pokemon were still standing. Injured and tired, a minute passed before the sound of one of them hit the ground.
"Emboar is unable to battle Lycanroc is the winner" Daisy yelled. "Aw yeah, good job Lycanroc" Ash pulled him into a hug.
"Emboar, you did amazing well beat him next time don't worry," Hilda said softly.
"Hilda" Ash said as she looked up at her brother. "Give me your wrist." Hilda was sad, she didn't beat him, so she had no right to use Z-moves, she looked over at her pokemon. They had a downcasted look on them as well. Hilda could feel the excitement and awe from them when they saw Emboar use Inferno Overdrive, this just means they'll have to train harder to earn the right to use Z-moves.
Taking ahold of her wrist Ash covered it with his other hand, passing aura through it he said, "You are blessed to use Z-moves only use them in a battle or when those weaker are in danger."
Hilda was stunned "But I lost" "We need to take you to Alola sometime. There's a lot more to earning the blessing than winning. You and Emboar earned it. The rest of your pokemon are going to train hard to handle Z-moves." Ash smiled at his sister.
Hilda smiled and hugged Ash, getting one in return. Breaking it off "Don't worry Ash we won't let your blessing go to waste." She smiled and her pokemon backed her up with cheers.
"I must say, that was one intense battle and well earned" Daisy "Take this" She extended her hands holding for Oran berries. "That was amazing!" Selene jumped up and down with excitement.
"Can confirm baby sister" Ash smiles at her excitement.
"What are you guys going to do now?" Daisy asked.
"I think we should train with the Z-move movements, then if we have time work on mega evolution," Selene said, "I like that plan Selene, alright Fire types line up we'll go over inferno overdrive!" Hilda yelled with vigor. Her fire types scrambled toward her.
