Fuchsia City; same day Ash and his family left for Paldea
Sitting at a cafe trying to figure out why they were in Fuchsia City... in Kanto without any clue of why they were there. Well they knew why they were there, but it was either shyness or subconsciousness that had them from answering that question.
The people sitting at the cafe was a honey blonde haired girl by the name of Serena along with her Sylveon. Next to her was her friend and contest rival May, sitting next to Sylveon was May's Glaceon. The two eeveelutions were joined by Piplup, a blue penguin pokemon. Piplup's trainer was also a coordinator like the ones she was sitting with. Dawn was friends and rival with May as well, dating back to the Wallace Cup competition.
Dawn and Serena never met before but were drawn to each other by the unknown force that brought them there. May had spotted Dawn in the airport after they got off their flight and made introductions. Dawn trusting May and her new friend decided to tell them of why she was there. Only to be further weirded out when Serena and May said they had the same feeling.
They set up in a nice hotel because the pokemon center was full because of the Fuchsia City festival and tournament going on later in the week. They spent the week exploring the city, shopping and practicing their routines. But for some strange reason any time they thought of leaving the city, they push the thought aside, or they didn't even want to split up to do their own thing which weirded them out but it never annoyed them.
It was Friday where they find themselves asking the same questions they have been the entire week.
"So... what was the reason why you two hop on a flight again?" Dawn asked for the umpteenth time this cause the other two to sigh again.
"We told you Dawn, it just felt like this was the place for us to come. We don't know why we just had the same feeling" May answered her. "We only realized we were going to the same place, like right before we bought the tickets here." Serena followed up.
Dawn sighed "I know I'm sorry it's just... what the shit? There I am practicing my routine at home with my pokemon then BAM!! Strange feeling comes over me next thing I know I'm half way to the airport to come here."
"And here is where you find a friend and a new girl who both had the same weird feeling you did and for what ever reason splitting up or leaving the city makes us feel like we're going to miss something" May concluded
"And it's even more weird that you feel this with a girl you literally just met and for some reason feel like you can trust her with your life." Serena added, because she felt the same way about Dawn only having met her for the first time Monday.
"Guys we've been here for five days and we haven't figured out anything of why we just thought to show up here of all places" Serena said exasperated. "Though the city and shopping isn't to bad, I can get some traditional Kanto outfits for contests here." Dawn said the other two and the pokemon nodded.
"Let's pay this check and go to the pier, they've got some stalls set up for tomorrow's festival." Serena said getting up with the others.
—outside of Fuchsia City—
"Hey girl with the maroon hair! Wanna battle me?!?" A dude on a bike asked said maroon haired girl. This caused her to back up a little with her Eevee jumping protectively in front of her.
"Umm, no thank you I'm just taking the fastest way to Fuchsia City I'm not looking to battle." Chloe has been on her journey to Fuchsia City for a couple days now, the morning she set out she got her starter from her father along with registering Eevee and Yamper as her pokemon. Since the start of her journey she caught a Pidgeotto, Growlithe, Chinchou, Poliwag and an Aipom. She was still a beginner in terms of battling but the couple times she trained and ventured out with Ash she grew stronger.
