One on one battle! -13

The first match was between Midoriya and Shinso, the purple-haired guy. You were seated with your friends when Ikkyu came flying and crashed into your face.

"Y/N! Y/N!" Ikkyu clung to your cheek. You pushed him away and glanced at Kaminari, who was sitting next to you.

"That guy's quirk is brainwashing!" Ikkyu hurriedly explained. "If Midoriya responds to him, it'll be over!"

You gasped and quickly locked your eyes on the green-haired boy. Just then, Midoriya shouted, "What did you say?!"

"Oh no," you muttered, grabbing Kaminari's shoulder. You watched in horror as Midoriya stopped in his tracks. Kaminari, confused, asked, "What happened to him?"

"That guy's quirk is brainwashing..." you replied, worry evident in your voice.

Shinso commanded Midoriya to walk out of the ring. "Shit..." you cursed under your breath as Ikkyu panicked beside you. Suddenly, he hit his fist in his palm. "What if I slap him?!"

Without waiting for your input, Ikkyu flew toward Midoriya.

'Ikkyu, no! That would be cheating!' you thought, unable to voice your concern.

Just as Ikkyu was about to reach Midoriya, a strong gust of wind sent him flying away. When the wind settled, you saw that Midoriya had regained his composure.

"Midoriya's stopped!" Present Mic announced, and the crowd erupted in cheers. You joined in, relieved.

You noticed Midoriya's fingers were broken, and Shinso was clearly shaken, trying desperately to make Midoriya speak.

Midoriya pushed forward, keeping Shinso at bay while Shinso punched and shoved. In the end, Midoriya used a judo throw to eject Shinso from the ring, securing his victory.

The crowd gasped in surprise.

"Shinso's out of the ring! Midoriya advances to round two!" Midnight announced.

All your friends cheered as you stood up. "What's wrong, Y/N?" Uraraka asked.

"Uh, I have to go to the bathroom," you lied, rubbing your neck.

"Y/N, you go to the bathroom a lot. Maybe you should check if you have sugar or something," Iida advised, while you awkwardly smiled.

"Y-yeah," you replied.

You left the room and wandered into a hallway, where you noticed Ikkyu, who seemed to be searching for something. "Ah, there that little shit is!" you muttered under your breath. You were worried since he'd been blown away by that strong wind and hadn't come back.

You were about to say something when you heard Todoroki's voice. "You are in my way."

"You're acting disgracefully, Shoto," a much older voice chimed in. You recognized it immediately-Endeavor!

You remembered meeting Endeavor for the first time; his presence was so overwhelming that you were terrified as a small kid. Now, hearing the father-son argument, you felt a surge of anger. It would've been better if your mom had continued being a pro hero; she would've definitely defended him. With a sigh full of frustration, you grabbed Ikkyu and headed back to your seat.

As soon as you let go of Ikkyu, he bolted again. 'That little...'

You shifted your attention and saw Midoriya sitting in front of you. "Ah, Mido!" you called out. "You did so good!" You threw yourself at him and praised him so much that the poor guy turned as red as a tomato. People might mistake him for a period tampon!

"Y-Y/N, you're embarrassing me!" Midoriya stammered, his face a bright shade of crimson.

You finally stopped and headed back to your seat as the next match between Todoroki and Sero began.
