Somehow, you all managed to make it through the forest before the sun fully set. Every one of you was covered in dirt, cuts, and bruises, and more than anything, you were exhausted-beyond exhausted.
And it was good to say that none of you made it in time for lunch.
"What do you mean, three hours?!" Sero groaned, rubbing his sore arms. "So hungry... gonna die..." Kirishima complained, clutching his stomach.
You didn't have it in you to even stand anymore, so you dropped to the ground with a heavy sigh. Ikkyu flopped down beside you, barely managing to mutter, "Seriously... it can't get any worse than this." You were too drained to even respond.
"Sorry, but that's how quickly we would've made it," the red-haired Neko girl chimed in, not sounding the least bit apologetic.
"You're pro heroes, damn it..." you cursed under your breath. "Talk about power difference..." Sato groaned as he collapsed beside you.
Meanwhile, Kirishima kept complaining about how hungry he was, his grumbling reminding you of a shark. You giggled to yourself, finding his complaints kind of cute, even in your exhausted state.
The blue Neko girl started giggling as she covered her mouth with her paw. "But honestly, I thought it would take even longer," she said with a mischievous grin. "You guys didn't have as hard a time beating my earth beast as I thought you would."
She then pointed at you, Todoroki, Bakugo, Midoriya, and Iida. "You guys are great... especially you five!"
Hearing that made you perk up just a little, though the fatigue was still weighing you down. Even if you were dead tired, at least there was some acknowledgment of how hard you'd all fought.
After the praise, the blue Neko lady, Pixie-Bob, started pawing at the four boys-thankfully leaving you alone. You sighed in relief, sinking further into the ground as your energy continued to drain.
"She's worried about being a spinster forever..." you overheard the red-haired Neko, Mandalay, say to Aizawa.
"A spinster? You're that old...?" Midoriya muttered in surprise. The words had barely left his mouth before Pixie-Bob's paw smacked his face. "Who's old?! Not me!!!" she shouted, her pride wounded.
While Pixie-Bob kept Midoriya's face squished beneath her paw, he muttered through his squashed cheeks, "Hey, I've been wondering... that boy over there, whose child is he?"
The question drew your attention to the small boy standing a few feet away, glaring at all of you with an intensity that didn't quite match his size.
"Oh, he's actually my nephew," Mandalay explained, motioning for the boy to come forward. "Come on, introduce yourself."
Midoriya, ever the friendly one, stepped forward, extending his hand for a handshake. "Hi, I'm Midoriya from UA High School's hero course. Nice to meetcha."
But instead of a handshake, Midoriya got a swift kick to the groin from the little boy, who then glared at him without a word.
Everyone winced as Midoriya crumpled to the ground, clutching his stomach in pain. "Why...?!" he gasped, his voice strained.
"You brute of a nephew!" Iida exclaimed, rushing over to help Midoriya, who was still writhing in pain on the ground.
Ikkyu snickered beside you, and you noticed Bakugo was also laughing uncontrollably. It wasn't often you saw him so amused, and you couldn't help but stare, taken aback by the genuine smile on his face.
"Why would you do that to Midoriya's scrotum?!" Iida demanded, his voice filled with righteous indignation as he supported Midoriya, who seemed to be seeing stars.
