You found yourself in the same old nurse's office, feeling a bit disoriented. How many times had you passed out today?
Slowly, you sat up on the bed. The Recovery Girl was busy scribbling notes at her desk. When she noticed you, she set her pen down and approached you with a stern look.
"I told you not to overwork yourself! Gosh, you and that Midoriya kid never listen!" she scolded, her voice carrying a mix of frustration and concern.
You glanced over and saw Ikkyu slip into the room. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw you awake.
"I... I'm sorry," you muttered, lowering your gaze. Then, with a hopeful look, you asked, "Can you please, please tell me if I won my match?"
Recovery Girl sighed and turned away from you, clearly not impressed. "Kids these days..." she murmured. "I'm not telling you about it. You need rest right now."
Ikkyu fluttered closer to you, a frown on his face. "I'm sorry even I just woke up," he said, landing gently on your lap and curling up.
You gently stroked Ikkyu's back, feeling a bit reassured by his presence. "Thanks, Ikkyu," you whispered. "I guess I'll just have to wait."
Half an hour later, after much begging and pleading, Recovery Girl finally relented and let you out.
You emerged from the nurse's office to find your friends waiting anxiously. The moment they saw you, their faces lit up with relief.
"Mina! Uraraka!" You greeted, trying to smile despite the lingering exhaustion.
Mina rushed forward and enveloped you in a tight hug. "Omg, Y/N-chan, I was so scared when you collapsed like that!" she said, her voice trembling slightly.
Uraraka joined in, hugging you as well. "I'm so glad you're okay! We were really worried."
You hugged them back, grateful for their support. "Thanks, guys. I'm okay now. Just needed some rest."
Kirishima, who had been waiting nearby, gave you a thumbs-up. "Hey, nice to see you up! We were all rooting for you."
"How did it go?" you asked, looking around at your friends for answers.
Uraraka hesitated before speaking. "It's kinda complicated..."
Tsu stepped in to explain. "You passed out just one second before Todoroki got kicked out of the ring. It was so close that they had to recheck it," she said.
Your shoulders slumped slightly as you processed the information. "So... I lost."The room fell silent for a moment, and your friends exchanged glances, unsure of how to comfort you. Mina was the first to speak, her voice full of encouragement. "Hey, don't be too hard on yourself. You fought really well."
Uraraka nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it was an incredibly close match. You gave it your all."
Despite their efforts to cheer you up, you kept your face down, trying to hold back your tears. The weight of the loss was heavy, but as you looked up with tears still in your eyes, determination set in.
