As Ben and Dan Heng arrived at the address they had been given, they were greeted by an unusual sight. Instead of a grand dojo or a training facility, there was only a manhole cover in the middle of an otherwise empty street. Ben looked around, perplexed.
Ben: "This can't be right. Are we sure this is the place?"
Dan Heng: "It looks like it. I guess we need to go down there?"
Ben hesitated, eyeing the manhole cover with a mix of reluctance and skepticism.
Ben: "I really don't like the idea of climbing down into the sewers. This doesn't exactly scream 'top-notch hero training' to me."
Dan Heng chuckled, glancing at Ben with a smirk.
Dan Heng: "You're not going to make a good impression by being squeamish. Besides, it's probably just a test of some kind."
Ben frowned but didn't say anything further. He glanced at the manhole cover, mentally preparing himself for what lay beneath.
Dan Heng: "Looks like you're not too keen on the idea. It's not that gross, really. I've been in worse places."
Ben sighed and eventually relented, gripping the manhole cover and starting to push it aside. The cover was surprisingly heavy, and he struggled a bit before finally getting it open. A musty smell wafted up from the dark abyss below.
Ben: "Alright, I guess we're doing this."
Dan Heng peered down into the darkness, giving a slight shrug.
Dan Heng: "Hey, if you're not into it, you should have seen it coming. Master Splinter's training is known for being unconventional."
With a deep breath, Ben and Dan Heng climbed down into the sewers. The descent was awkward but manageable, and soon they found themselves at the bottom, standing in a dimly lit tunnel. The walls were lined with pipes and damp stone.
Dan Heng: "See? Not so bad."
Ben wrinkled his nose at the smell but tried to stay positive.
Ben: "Yeah, let's hope this isn't a sign of what's to come."
They ventured further into the tunnel, their footsteps echoing off the walls. The air was thick with moisture and the faint sound of dripping water. They soon entered a lair that looked like this:
The walls were adorned with training equipment, various weapons, and ninja gear, while colorful graffiti and posters gave the place a vibrant, lived-in feel.
Four turtles skated into the room on their boards, each displaying their distinct personalities through their enthusiastic greetings. Each turtle wore their signature mask color, making their identities unmistakable.
Leonardo, leading the group, wore a blue mask. His confident grin and authoritative stance made it clear he was the leader.
Leonardo: "Hey there! I'm Leo. Looks like you two are ready for some serious training."
