Mega Shredder, his armor cracked and his body weakened from Scott's devastating Optic Overload, growled in frustration as he activated a smoke bomb. The field was instantly engulfed in thick, dark smoke, obscuring the vision of Ben's team.

Ben: coughing Stay alert! He's making his escape!

But by the time the smoke cleared, Mega Shredder had vanished into the night, leaving only destruction in his wake. The team looked around, tense and ready for anything, but the battle was over. For now.

Meanwhile, Mega Shredder stumbled through the ruined streets, clutching his injured side. His breathing was ragged, and the damage to his armor made every step feel like a monumental effort. He cursed under his breath, furious at his vulnerability.

As he staggered into the shadows of an abandoned warehouse, he collapsed against a wall, trying to catch his breath. The sound of footsteps echoed in the distance, and Mega Shredder tensed, ready to fight if necessary.

Mystique: cool and composed  You look like you've seen better days, Shredder.

From the darkness emerged Mystique, the shape-shifting leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants. Her yellow eyes glinted in the dim light, appraising the battered figure before her. Behind her, the other members of the Brotherhood—Magneto, Sabretooth, and Toad—stood watching, their expressions a mix of curiosity and calculation.

Magneto: with a hint of amusement  The mighty Shredder, brought low by children.

Mega Shredder growled, trying to rise to his feet, but his strength failed him, and he slumped back down.

Sabretooth: grinning  Looks like you could use some help. Lucky for you, we don't mind lending a hand—for a price.

Mega Shredder's eyes narrowed, recognizing the opportunity—and the danger—of aligning himself with the Brotherhood.

Mega Shredder: rasping  What... do you want?

Mystique: smirking  That depends on what you have to offer.

Magneto: stepping forward, voice commanding We could help you recover, rebuild your strength. But in return, we expect your loyalty. Your forces are decimated, and you'll need allies to take on those who oppose us.

Mega Shredder, weakened and with little choice, nodded slowly. He knew he couldn't take on the heroes alone, not in his current state.

Mega Shredder: determined  Very well... we have a deal.

Mystique smiled coldly, while Magneto's gaze remained sharp and calculating.

Mystique: leaning in  Welcome to the Brotherhood, Shredder.

As the Brotherhood moved in to assist him, Mega Shredder knew that he had just entered a dangerous new alliance. But with their combined power, they would be unstoppable—at least, that was what he intended to make sure of.

Ben: frustrated, pacing How did he get away? We had him!

Ben stood in his room at the UA dorm, his fists clenched in frustration. The memory of Mega Shredder's escape gnawed at him. Despite their efforts, the enemy had slipped through their fingers. He couldn't shake the feeling that he should have done more.

Dan Heng: gently, placing a hand on Ben's shoulder  Ben, you did everything you could. We all did. He was just... too strong this time.

Dan Heng's calm presence was a soothing balm to Ben's frustration. For a moment, Ben felt the tension ease from his shoulders. Dan Heng's voice was filled with warmth and understanding, and there was something unspoken in his gaze—a tenderness that Ben was beginning to recognize more and more.

Dan Heng took a breath, gathering his courage. He had been waiting for the right moment to tell Ben how he felt, and now, with the weight of battle behind them, it felt like that moment had finally come.

Dan Heng: softly  Ben, there's something I need to—

Suddenly, the door to Ben's room burst open, and Asta rushed in, her face pale and her breath coming in short gasps. She held a crumpled note in her hand, waving it frantically.

Asta: panicked  Ben, look at this! It's from Izuku! He... he revealed that he got his quirk from All Might! And... he's decided to go alone! We have to find him!

The weight of Asta's words hit Ben like a ton of bricks. His heart dropped as he snatched the note from her hand, his eyes scanning the hurried, desperate handwriting. The implications of Izuku's decision were terrifying, and he knew they had no time to waste.

Ben: urgently  We need to regroup with Class A, now!

Dan Heng, who had been on the verge of opening his heart, swallowed his words. The urgency of the situation took precedence, and he knew this wasn't the right time. As Ben and Asta dashed out of the room, Dan Heng followed, his confession once again pushed to the back of his mind.
