{ Voted Best Robin Fanfic 2024}
It's 1985, a normal ordinary summer for Natalie, while her cousins are either doing an internship or watching the movies. While looking for a job, she bumps into a freckled girl, she looked pretty, gorgeous even. What...

"Robin, I like you"
Natalie scratched that off with a pen in her hand. Too basic, too straightforward
"Robin, you make me feel something I've never felt before, I want to be much more "
With a sigh, she started to scribble over it again. Too direct.
"Robin I lo-"
Natalie crumbled the paper and threw it in the trash. She can't say it let alone write it. Her cousins have a history of struggling to say the L word, but that has never been a problem for her. Maybe it's the fact that Robin is a girl, not a boy. It's the fact that a boy and a girl can be together and make out in public but if it's two girls, the whole town loses their minds. Natalie is now a Hawkins High Senior and couldn't wait to leave.
She sat by the edge of her bed and sighed. Natalie stared at the Shako and some drumsticks on her desk. At least she gets to play in band one last time. Natalie got up and grabbed them
" Let's get this over with"
She exited her room just to find her mom washing dishes, she turned around and looked at her with a smile. " Ay Mijita"
Her mom stopped what she was doing and found a camera. "Una Foto" ( A picture). Put on the hat
"Mama, it is 7 in the morning, it's too early for this"
" Come on, Una Photo para tu mama" (One picture for your mom)
She let out a scoff and put on the Shako. Natalie had a fake smile on her face as her mom took the picture. She could see her get emotional
"Estas un mujer" ( Youre a woman)
"Ay, mama, no llorar"(Mom don't cry)
Natalie opens the door and looks back to her mom" Ciao, te amo"
She walked to her car and put the shako in the back. Natalie would probably get there before her cousins since Mike takes forever to get ready. California Dreaming by the Beach Boys started playing on the radio as she drove through the streets of Hawkins. Without notice, Natalie passed by a burgundy BMW.
"Then there's Heidi tomorrow night, but the problem with Heidi is that she's going out of state for college. Do I wanna start another relationship that has no point other than sex. I mean does that make sense to you?"
Robin was just there applying make-up, not making out a single word he just said. Steve got the hint right away.
